My question is: If we get an update with the biomes that the PC version of minecraft has, and upsize a preexisting small sized world to medium or large, would the new biomes generate around the old world?
I've tried this with seeing if witch huts would generate around older worlds if I expanded them, and it works. I have an Xbox 360 world I have spent a great deal of time and effort in, and since uploading it to my Xbox One, I've intentionally kept it at small size out of the hope that when more biomes are added (if they are), I could extend the life of that old world. SO, does anyone know?
Once we get the new biomes, they'll appear in any unexplored chunks. So if you haven't expanded your transferred world yet and do so after that update, you'll get the new biomes mixed in with the ones we have already. I have a world myself that's waiting on that update for expansion.

Oh, awesome! Thanks a bunch for the quick answer. I'm assuming that the same will occur for structures? Like the underwater temples?
Only if the ocean biome didn't generate before Ocean Temples are added.
