So, I promise I definitely scoured quite a few threads for the answer but I figure I might as well ask it.
I really, really, really want Mesa biomes. My world build requires massive amounts of clay, far more than is naturally generated or that can feasibly be collected from underwater mining. However, seeing as Mesa biomes do not exist in XB1 Minecraft yet I was curious, will a future update populate these biomes (possibly) in existing worlds.
I would like to note that with this very purpose in mind, that I have restricted myself to a very small portion of the map. I'd say, maybe 5% of the map. So in regards to all of the unloaded chunks, could I expect to see Mesa biomes or perhaps Water Temples generate in the unexplored chunks after the updates occur?
This knowledge will save me a lot of time. I have spent dozens of hours already perfecting the landscape and building all my spawners and mechanisms. I just want to know if I should hold out or not. I've already waited over a year for witches and the Wither, don't really want to wait much longer...
Thanks for any info that is factually supported and not speculative.
The only factual answer you'll receive here is that none of us know. 4J has followed the PC updates with near 100% accuracy, excluding just a few things here and there. They have so far included all terrain and biome changes made to the PC version equivalent up to what the Xbox One is currently at. Mesa Biomes weren't added on the PC until 1.7 and the Xbox One currently sits at roughly what amounts to 1.6. The only way we'll ever know if Mesa Biomes will be added to the Xbox One Edition is to wait for 4J to start talking about and revealing the next content title update.
have to admit that i am waiting for it too for the same reasons. That and i am PUMPED for the underwater temples. the new sea lanterns are an awesome way to light up builds where yellows just don't look right!
plenty to do in the meantime, though! I've been going crazy with hoppers on my survival world. I had to build an iron golem farm just to keep up! Good news is that most of my farms are being automated with drops going into a massive sorting system/storehouse hidden within the mountain my base rests on!
On that end i've occasionally found that my hoppers will stop putting blocks into other hoppers even when there is no redstone anywhere near the line! Opening the hopper's inventory screen and closing it seems to fix it, but i'm still a bit baffled as to why it happens in the first place. Is anyone else getting that? it may have to do with the fact that my hopper chains can be 10-20 hoppers long causing lag, or it may be tied to autosave lag as i've noticed that that also messes with my pistons.
I am personally not having any problems with my hopper lines. I just finished a string farm that utilizes a line of them about 20 long, and no goofy stuff going on with it.
