Assuming we only need one more bug fix and the next content update will, indeed, be TU22 ...
What do I expect to see?
1. I think it's obvious we're getting the crafting recipe for Stained Glass and Stained Glass Panes. I do not expect 4J to pull forward the change in 1.8 allowing alternate Beacon light colors. I'd be surprised if they did, since light update latency/lag is already an issue on 360.
2. Some small additions to terrain introduced in Java 1.7.2: (e.g., Melons can be found in Jungles, Jungle Biomes are rarer, Jungle trees have branches, Double tall grass in Plains, flat valleys near sea level of Extreme Hills, Gravel Beaches appear more often, etc.). I do not expect to have the Amplified World option, as the 360 likely can't handle it.
3. A feature that keeps the game feeling "fresh". This will likely be the new Fishing mechanics, and everything related to it: Enchanted Fishing Rods (Lure, and luck of the Sea), fishing has a chance of getting Fish/Treasure/Junk, 1-3 new fish (at least Pufferfish, possibly also Salmon and/or Clownfish), Potion of Water Breathing from Pufferfish, and a chance of reeling in non-craftable items (name tags, lily pads, or saddles).
What do I want to see? Some of the new Biomes/Items. While I like everything Java 1.7.2 introduced, the world size limitations of the 360 would require a lot more Seed scouting in order to find that one "perfect" world if every single Biome was introduced. Personally, I'll be happy with the addition of: 1. Savanna, (for an additional Horse spawn area, potential Villages, no rain, and possibly introducing Acacia Trees/Wood/Planks), 2. Roofed Forest, (for Giant Mushrooms in the absence of a Mooshroom Island, and possibly the Dark Oak Trees/Wood/Planks), and 3. Mesa, (for availability of Hardened Clay in the absence or rarity of Clay in a Swamp, and no rain). 4J can use regular Sand for the floor of the Mesa, and does not need to add/use Red Sand, but I'm cool either way. Also, in lieu of adding the entire Mega Taiga Biome, Spruce Trees could have an option of naturally generating 2x2, (along with planting/growing them this way), and Podzol could have a rare chance of generating on the Taiga floor. In lieu of adding the Ice Plains Spikes, Packed Ice could have a chance of generating where (Cold) Taiga meets Ocean, (i.e., Packed Ice along the shore and regular Ice further out). Also, I like Deskepticon's suggestion of making it craftable! I suggest: 9 Ice Blocks = 3 Packed Ice. Edit: Oh yeah, I forgot. I want different Nether Portal sizes, too.
I think that's about it for me!
I don't care either way about all the new flowers. Sure, they look pretty, but the only other thing they add to the game is a faster way to produce dyes that are already craftable. So we don't need a Flower Forest or a Sunflower Plains. Birch Forests aren't needed, either. Small versions of them will already occasionally generated in the Forest of some Seeds, and larger ones can be grown/terraformed if people really want to see them (because they're just for looks). 4J can probably tweak the code to allow Oceans to occasionally generate 10 blocks deeper, and (Cold) Taiga to occasionally generate without snow. That would give us the possibility of Deep Ocean and (new/warm) Taiga. BOOM! All the Biomes, if people really want them. The 360 probably can't handle Extreme Hills Plus, and it's bad enough right now with stupid passive mobs getting stuck on 1-wide blocks, so forget that Biome!
That's my $.02, don't spend it all in one place, and keep the change. Peace!
This is just something that I'd been thinking, but I was wondering if they may have planned to make tu21 a 'big' update, perhaps on par with tu19, adding some or most of the 1.7 and/or 1.8 features In a way that'd still be manageable for the 360 & ps3's capacities, but since the current bugs call for a quicker fix than normal, they'll instead release an update with just a few additional features & that overall serves as a patch?
Of course, it's entirely possible that they could have planned to do this from the start. XD Or that tu21 ends up being a second patch with no new features, & they then proceed to bring in the new features in the following updates. I'm looking forward to all the new features, but especially the new fishing mechanics, new villager farming & breeding AI, & mutton drops from sheep. New biomes as well as rabbits to add to my farm will also be great, but they'll likely need way more time to be implemented, &, if so, I can definitely wait longer for those.
I'd like to see more crafting options for stone, mainly refering to chiseled stone, which already exists, but aren't possible to craft. Also, I've often wondered why they to this date has yet to include fried/boiled egg.
I used to play my flatworld survival map with redstone, iron and gold. All gone because of the update. I can no longer play flat world survival unless I had a good laptop. Thanks a lot 4Jstudios.
i would like it if there were some new biomes. the old ones are good but it would be exiciting to see some new ones. Slimeblocks would be good too. in PC version when did slime blocks come?
so basically 2~6 months before we get slime blocks?
That would be a hugely optimistic estimate, I'd estimate about 3-8 months before we see a content update to bring us somewhat current with 1.7... but there is a good chance that a lot of the new biomes and biome mechanics may not be introduced due to the smaller play area (or they may be included in favor of the new generation consoles' bigger worlds).
There are still a number of bugs that need to be worked out and a number of them may have a direct impact on a 1.7 implementation (including fixing witch huts, and wither skeleton spawning only in the nether fortress, and random blaze spawning, etc.)
Although it is possible that a 1.8 equivalent update will roll out at the same time, it is usually best not to expect that it will happen that way.
I would like to see hardcore, adventure mode and mods that are in game purchase
Adventure mode is already in the game. It is just not selectable upon map creation. You have to create a map, save & exit, then when loading it again you will have the option for it as game mode...
The 3rd may not ever happen for obvious reasons; but DLC might with things they come up with. I wouldn't hold my breath for that. I won't say much on hardcore, as that one does not interest me in the least...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I would be interested in all the new updates from the PC being added, as well as some new console exclusive features. Not small exclusive features like the ender dragon shooting ender balls at you or skin models, but something bigger, more game changing.
Lambs will have a mix of the parents' colors, if the parents' colors are 'compatible' (able to be crafted together as dyes),
Sheep named as 'jeb_' will cycle through all possible sheep colors in a fading rainbow effect. They will still drop the color wool they were dyed last.
Baby sheep growth can be accelerated using wheat,
Sheep drop raw mutton and—if killed while on fire—they will drop cooked mutton.
Rabbits, Killer Bunnies and these changes
Rabbits and The Killer Bunny drop rabbit hide and raw rabbit unless on fire in which case it will drop cooked rabbit.
Killer Rabbits no longer spawn in peaceful.
Rabbits now have sounds and a revised model that includes a tail.
Rabbits can no longer be tamed and do not flee from players.
Hostile rabbits are given a new texture, a new name ('The Killer Bunny'), and now ignore creative-mode players.
Killer Bunny texture changed — no longer has blood.
Rabbits follow players holding golden carrots.
Naming a rabbit "Toast" will change its texture, Toast is textured like a black dutch, with a large black & white patch and more black fur around the face than the natural black & white spotted rabbit. Other than its name and skin, Toast behaves exactly like it would if it were unnamed.
Additional Spawn Eggs
a sub category of Villager spawn eggs for each proffession including the Unused Green Robed Villager which would trade random items,
Wither Spawn Eggs, Enderdragon Spawn Eggs, Skeleton and Zombie Horse Spawn Eggs with a tamable option as normally they cannot be tamed unless spawned already tame and you could just make it take longer(i like to use horse spawn eggs on em and kill them to listen to their death sounds and the skeleton ones sound robotic somewhat) and The Giant Spawn egg with fixed hitbox, clipping removed and increased jump height.
Waterless Ocean Monuments
Without Guardians and Squids(do you know how long it takes to go in with a handful of Sponges, Doors and Signs and drain the water out of one? it takes me hours especially since there is water around it also a lot of bats spawn in drained ocean monuments
Can some developers please fix the fact that on the console you cant get the music disc drop "where are we now" from a creeper you haft to be in creative because i think it is the best disc and i dont want to ruin my survival only world because i really want a good music disc so plz fix it that would be amazing.

I've had creepers drop that disc no problem. Are you sure you're not just unlucky?

Technically, they were introduced in Snapshot 14w02a/b/c, and then altered, (to be sticky with Pistons), in Snapshot 14w18a.
If you're asking which version officially added them, (and when), that would be 1.8/Bountiful Update on Sept 2, 2014.
