I want to see all of that stuff, but some of the main things I wish to see are the new mobs such as the bunnies and the guardian mobs that spawn in the ocean monuments. The item I would love to see the most would be the command block so that I can play with those.
We MIGHT not get 1.8 features, however many features (Item Frames comes to mind) were brought ahead from their PC equivalent. We would have gotten Item Frames, Pumpkin Pie, Zombie Villagers, Thorns Enchant, Flower Pots, Carrots, Potatoes, and many more last update (TU19), instead of TU14 and before.
Enable Host Commands toggle (disables leader-boards when selected) and working Command Blocks with appropriate user interfaces.... that and all that comes with the 1.7 update.... plus hopefully colored glass (since it is already coded on the back end, just not implemented yet with accessible recipes...
Not new biomes for certain. We have enough issues getting everything in a world as it is. There's just not enough space to slam in a biome for podzol, packed ice, and two new trees.
I want the new fishing mechanics and the new echanting. Hope fully we also get the trade system for the villgers
bleh, I am not fond of the new enchanting...>< Just as bad as the original. Still have to wait till the one I want to show up. With the new one I would actually have to enchant items/books till i get what I want, which is what is done now. So in a way there really isn't much change beyond actually seeing what you enchant, and that just forces the notion to enchant in order to get a new enchant to enchant with in the first place.
I do like the lowered costs, but... meh I am 50-50 on that one. So either way it would not bother me...><

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
After the bug fixes, we'll get the features from 1.7, and probably 1.8 as well, meaning essentially all the blocks, items and mechanics will be added from the PC. No real need to speculate.
And look at this. As usual, two weeks after the update, people are already looking forward to new stuff. Typical. And what of those horses people have been begging to get? Nobody is excited about them anymore. Not so special now, are they?
With that said, I don't care what we get next (Although I'm still fine discussing and informing people of new stuff). But I don't want to start preparing and getting excited because new features are months away.

The horses are too buggy to be bothered with now.
Besides, the update after the big one is the best.

Along with that, they should add the ability to switch On/Off online from the pause menu too, along with Game Modes, then we can switch an adventure map from building stage to playing stage. Another cool idea would be map uploading and downloading, and when you download a map, it'll go into an section in World Selection where you can play your map. It'd be where the tutorial is now (Said tutorial would be in said section.)

I'm Canadian, and there is no igloos around. Or snow. Or polar bears. Or moose because I live in a city, but there are moose in the country.

To be expected... Seems to always happen. As for myself I was not ever thrilled or awaiting the horses anyhow. I actually just wanted the hay bales that came with horses...lol Of course all the other stuff as well, like quite a bit of the redstone stuff.
I am sure some are enjoying it right now like I am...

I'm always looking forward to new stuff... but I'm in no rush for it... I still haven't finished playing around with all the stuff that was last brought into the game. and I have to say, I do love the horses as a scenic MOB... I just wish they were a bit more stable in hanging around once caught/tamed.
But frankly, I'm having a lot more fun with the new redstone stuff... too bad about the new piston glitch, but I'm not a big piston user as it is, as I have a preference for solid state components over the mechanical (BUD reliant) components.
I'd love to see the Bigger World Size option in my opinion. I hate that you can go from one side to another in a world in 5-10 minutes. Also, with that option, it'd be great if they implemented all of the new biomes.
Is it even possible to increase the world size of last gen consoles?
If it is then why haven't they already done so...?
Yes, it is technically possible... as to why... it would require a fundamental re-writing of the code at its core level which could cause even more bugs and glitches to current implementations and future updates. It would be a massive undertaking. Several design strategies have been suggested...but frankly, implementation would be extremely time consuming and it would not be without its own major issues that would have to then be researched and resolved.

No it's not possible and will never happen the old gen is being pushed to it's limits by minecraft. If u want a bigger world you will have to buy xbox one,ps4,pe, or PC editions.

Although from a technical standpoint, I disagree with this statement... but from a practical standpoint, this is pretty much the truth of the matter. It would take far too much time and resources to expand the world size on the older Gen consoles, way much more than it would be worth to do so. It just isn't cost effective to redesign the entire platform to have a significant boost in memory management to make this possible and playable on older consoles.
I want to see the Mega Taiga,Roofed Forest,Mesa and the Savannah biomes, as well as giant spruce trees, dark oak and acaica trees from 1.7
I also want Red Sandstone,Different doors/fences, and ocean monuments from 1.8.
What do you want to see?

The doors/fences being one as you mentioned, as well armor stands, banners, bunnies, meat drops, and fishing mechanics.

Other than that, I have no wants, really.
Stay fluffy~

Yeah, but that's never going to happen
Hey, you can make a challenge to build in the whole world.
