No i was not with my brother playing minecraft and if you know a youtuber named stampylongnose he played with friends . And at my dads my update was still there . Please reply back
OK, one thing you're mentioning that tweaks something - at your dad's the update is still there. Is, by chance, the console at your dad's the one on which the game itself was purchased and you've just installed it on this one as a second... or did you purchase a second copy of the game on this console. IF a second, separate copy of the game was not purchased, the "secondary" console will revert to a demo copy of the game unless the Live-enabled profile that purchased the game is signed in and playing the game on that console. It will also revert to the demo if it is not connected online (such that it can't verify that it is the purchasing profile playing the game).
My mom got minecraft at walmart and my dad got it at game stop . Could it have something to do with the stores ?
I'm assuming that means you are playing the disc versions (two different discs, right)... so, my previous post only applies to the download versions. If they are the download versions and they both bought the game, then each console should have it's own license for the game. If it is a download version and the console doesn't register the license correctly to her (or your) Live account and the console, your mom should take that up with Microsoft. If it's the disc version, the game should update when you stick the disc in the drive (as long as the console is hooked up to the internet). If that connection got interrupted, then it may be a matter of going into the hard drive Minecraft folder and deleting the "corrupted" update file and getting the console to update again. You may want to get your mom (or some more computer savvy adult) to help you with this.
So, it sounds like you are trying to play the same game (file) on 2 different consoles, one that has an updated version of Minecraft (your Dad's) and one that is still operating on an older version of Minecraft (your Mom's) that still needs to be updated to the current version before you can play the saved game files that was saved from your Dad's console.
So basically, it just sounds like you need to connect your mom's console to the internet and allow the game to update to the current version of Minecraft and you should be good to go from there. I'm pretty sure that you will have to sign into a XBLA account first to connect the console to the internet and then open up Minecraft to initiate the update.
