I was messing around with dispensers in a redstone contraption and I noticed some strange behavior. I wanted to get some feedback from the community before saying this is a "bug".
A powered dispenser seems to receive updates from two blocks away. I find it difficult to give some solid "rules" to the behavior because it only seems to work with certain RS components, namely torches, dust and repeaters. Unlike your typical BUD switch, it doesn't respond to run-of-mill block updates.
In a way its useful because a dispenser can pour and then pick-up water with a single RS pulse by using a repeater set to 3 or 4 ticks directly feeding the dispenser. But compact builds cause much havoc with undesired triggerings.
Has anybody else experienced these issues, and if so did you find any work-arounds?
