4j studios did confirm that the next update will be the equivalent to pc version 1.4-1.6.4 so most of what gabritazor said is probably going to happen!
Guys here is proof of what they are planning on putting in, these are real pictures pulled from the game for items, blocks, and map icons, in these pictures you can see, fire works, command blocks, flower pots, Chest Icons on maps, Hay (Which means Horses), Beacons, Horse armor, Writeable books, hoppers, Nether star (Which means Wither), comparators, daylight sensors, droppers, and redstoneblock. There are also other items that we don't even have in the PC version, like what looks like, Rubies, Quivers, and some other stuff.
I hope they drop support for old gen as i would like book and quill which xbox one could easily handle anyone heard anything about droppers, comparators, nametags?
don't haveca link iam typing this va phone but the screen shot of the weither on the ps vita shows a bat in the top corner of the vita plus the plushies. Usely when they show of some toys of mobs it usely a hint that they r coming but not all the time though.

In theory... TU17 was released September 4, 2014. At least that appears to be the unofficial name for that bug fix per the title of the Forum thread for reporting bugs:
That theory is false because Title Updates are only updates that add new blocks, features, mobs, items, etc. like PC, where a bug fix would be, i.e 1.4.1 and updates adding things would be 1.4.0. Bug fixes on console just don't tell you the fixes, which is why you sometimes get the update notification and there is no list of additions, because there weren't any additions
Then I suppose you better tell Steve with 4J that he is wrong about how he titled his own thread.
Either the title of that is in error and the QA Bug Tester at @4JStudios on Minecraft XBLA, XboxOne, PS4 and PS3, SNES for 4J Studios (https://twitter.com/4jsteve) is wrong... or you are.
4JSteve very clearly revers to the current update as TU17 in his bug thread.
You say that it isn't TU17 because the last update didn't count as an update because "Title Updates are only updates that add new blocks, features, mobs, items, etc. "... even though very nearly every other officially Released Title Update was only a bug fix historically, and it was pretty much only the alternate updates that players saw additional content added.
You insist that we are currently on TU16, and that my reasoning is flawed logic...
Yet you saw that 4JSteve was correct in the way he named his Bug Reporting Thread... which again, very clearly states TU17 in the title of it... but it is still not TU17 at the same time.
To briefly recap. 4JSteve has declared the current update as TU17, you say it isn't for an invalid reason to start with, but by saying that 4JSteve is correct, you are also agreeing that it is TU17 after all.
It either IS TU17 or it ISN'T... it can't be both at the same time...
.... Am I missing something here? You logic seems to be non-existent.
that's not what I was originally talking about. The minecraft wiki says we are on tu16, but peopl. say otherwise as people have messed it up somewhere. either way, 4jsteve titling a thread wrong isn't what I was talking about and is off topic
You were directly correcting my statement and further stated that my logic was flawed which was clearly based on the way that bug report thread was titled by one of the developers. So yes, it actually was very much "on topic".

But I digress. Clearly there is no point belaboring this any further. But I will add that you are wrong about your opinion of what a Title Update is. The following Title Updates were largely Bug Fixes and had no significant content changes (some had changes to fix bugs, but no real new additions to the game):
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

I see a pattern with 4j. They have released screenshots from every console every week for the past 4 weeks except for the ps4 I believe. I think that they might take one for the ps4 this week and next week .............well who knows? Maybe They will repeat the pattern or start bug fixing? Hmmmm....... thats one to ponder on.
By your own logic... so did this latest update... it in fact had more obvious content changes than some of the prior official Title Updates. And TU4 had 0 listed Additions unlike the current update.
Current Update Additions:
Added the ability to transfer Xbox 360 saves to Xbox One.
Added the ability to transfer PlayStation 3 saves to PlayStation 4.
Chunk formatting updated. Game now saves chunks at every block change.
This has led to duplication glitches.
To be clear, I never said for certainty that we were on TU16 or TU17, I just said that 'in theory' we are on TU17 based on general community response and the fact that 4JSteve refers to it as such in the Bug reporting thread. I'm well aware that it isn't listed that way on the Wiki, which is why I never took a firm stance for or against it, but so far you have said nothing that would sway me in either direction.
TU4 was either a alpha or beta release, and it was equivalent to the 1.7.3 PC version, meaning it was a beta bug fix
Clearly we're just not going to see eye to eye on this. what you seem to think is a perfectly rational explanation, I am seeing as a blatantly contradictory statement that only further proves my point.
Since I'm honestly just not certain and you seem to be so sure... I Tweeted 4J to see if they would provide an official answer. I didn't really care before now.
Twitter link to 4J's quote stating this, please.
Here (you can make out the bat in the upper right corner of the PS Vita), and the plushies: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B1SlQ9yIUAAaXkZ.jpg:large

MCXBLA OFFICIAL KNOWN BUGS LIST [TU17]
Now, the next major content update (TU 18?) has not been announced with a release date as yet.
Then I suppose you better tell Steve with 4J that he is wrong about how he titled his own thread.
(Author = 4JSteve )
The title to 4JSteve's Bug's Reporting Thread is : "MCXBLA OFFICIAL KNOWN BUGS LIST [TU17]"... perhaps you will note the TU17 in brackets on the end of that...

Ok... so, please explain this to me:
4JSteve very clearly revers to the current update as TU17 in his bug thread.

Technically, no you didn't.
I said:
You replied to that stating specifically that MY theory was wrong:
But I digress. Clearly there is no point belaboring this any further. But I will add that you are wrong about your opinion of what a Title Update is. The following Title Updates were largely Bug Fixes and had no significant content changes (some had changes to fix bugs, but no real new additions to the game):

Alright... tell me what was added to TU 4... here is everything in that title Update:
Nothing added content wise... No Blocks.... no Items... no MOBs... no Dimensions... just Bug Fixes.
Clearly we're just not going to see eye to eye on this. what you seem to think is a perfectly rational explanation, I am seeing as a blatantly contradictory statement that only further proves my point.
