You have to understand that the PE Edition is not following the PC edition to the letter (i.e. it has, for example, a nether reactor rather than a nether) and the console editions are not following either the PC edition or the PE edition to the letter... so, your comment seems to me to be irrelevant as well. The PE Edition is not "ahead" of the Xbox edition - it's just developing along different lines and is being geared to appeal to a slightly different type of user. The developer obviously intends to try to utilize the unique strengths of each different platform to their best advantage. Consoles are the only devises that support local splitscreen play.
Yea i Understand that but ubergine is saying that console should be ahead even though Pocket came out before console
I think anyone in this thread who wants to have an opinion about this really needs to play PE and the console version to see how worlds apart they are. There's little chance you could say PE is superior to console if you'd actually played both.
can we stop arguing to each other and just answer the question
GEEZ people
Which question is that?
Eh, it doesn't matter.
It makes no sense trying to compare two different games developed for two different platforms by two different companies. This thread should be burned, sacked, lost, found, and then burned again for good measure.

As you wish:
Question 1: I have no idea why the PE version has infinite worlds. The Xbox 360 Edition does not have infinite worlds because there was limited RAM available combined with a limit on file size. In addition, it runs 4-player splitscreen (which the PE version does not). As a result, the developer (4J) opted to go with a different method of loading and unloading chunks than the PC; that is, they made an "executive decision" to do it that way.
Question 2: The PE version has more biomes and more blocks because it recently had an update that the Xbox Edition has not yet had. As others have pointed out, the PE Edition is missing some significant domains - like the Nether.
The questions were answered in the thread above and the first question has been answered numerous times over the last couple of years (including directly by 4J at Minecon 2012) and the answer hasn't changed... So, why do people keep asking the same question over and over again?
Question 1: I have no idea why the PE version has infinite worlds.Chucks are unloaded from the cache if they are no longer within frame. The PC got this feature in a recent snapshot as well. I have no idea how PE handles file size and "world state" though.
I was thinking in terms of the philosophical "why." Seems pretty pointless to have and unending world on one's phone. It barely holds the interest of my friend's kids for more than 15 minutes due to the more difficult controls and tiny screen. I always appreciate some technical insight though. Thanks.
Do you guys think they will ever come out with mods for the XBOX 360. I have heard a little of both sides saying it's possible but it probably won't happen. What do you guys have to say.

It depends on what you really mean by mods. If you mean allowing the community to freely write alterations to the game and uploading those to the Xbox marketplace or allowing people to gather them from the internet and attach them to the game themselves on the Xbox.. Then I would say that it's not going to happen - Microsoft would not allow it.
If you mean 4J writing their own alterations to the game, then I would say it's very likely.
If you mean 4J legitimately obtaining the rights to utilize one or two of the PC mods already in existence, then I would it's a bit of a crapshoot since the legalities between Mojang and the community modders are in a bit of a mess right now.
This thread is kind of true...We got a update THREE months ago
Since the game has been released, we've gotten 16, SIXTEEN, free updates adding tons of free content and fixing hundreds of bugs. Who cares if it was updated only 3 months ago. They're creating 3 more versions of the game and have already said the next update will come out once those new versions are out and on their feet.
Some games get ZERO updates after they're released or just bug fixes. Name another game on the Xbox 360 that has been update for over 2 years with FREE content every few months. If there is one negative thing about Minecraft, and a big negative at that, it's that Minecraft has spoiled people. People think they're entitled to updates every few weeks and if they don't get them, they throw a fit. You aren't entitled to anything once you've bought the game. 4J, Microsoft, and Mojang have been kind enough to constantly keep updating this game.
No one is saying they are not companies and businesses. They provide a product or service that we as consumers pay for. I hate to be the one to tell you this but thats one basis of the entirety of human civilization. (The other is that blame gets assigned and guilt gets punished and thus law is upheld but thats an aside.) Entitlement comes into it when what the consumer begins demanding outpaces what is realistic for the company or business to provide. That 's what we have going on on places like this forum, where we only see about 1-2% of the consumer base making their voices heard. and the majority of those voices have what they believe to be a grievance.

I think part of the issue is that a big part of the "business model" for the PC Edition is community-driven, open-source development... but that sort of business model doesn't fit nice and pretty on the consoles. I think it was a courageous move on the part of Microsoft to partner up with Mojang and 4J to put such a game onto the Xbox 360 in the first place... and then to ride out all the struggles and pressures from the "community" that thought this meant the dam would break and there would suddenly be an opportunity for them to mod freely on the Xbox and the expectation that the updates would come just the same as they did on the PC. Rather than adjust their expectations, the "community" has instead continued to press 4J (and Mojang) to turn the Xbox Edition into the same as the PC one. Many of the 1-2% of the consumer base have some additional motives... in that they are mod writers who what to have the opportunity to "market" their mods to Xbox Minecrafters... so, they keep stirring the pot.
There is no point arguing, the games are what they are, and we"ll all just have to deal with it until there is an updates. There are two different developers, two different types of minecraft, you may like what you like. And, this is a stupid argument which is starting to get off topic.
Bottom line is, minecraft is minecraft. You can build yourself a block house on either one. Neither platform has more features then the other, and neither has 'better features'. Each is unique, and if you aren't happy with one, then try the other. End of story
This thread has gotten way off topic, and is showing definite signs of devolving into a flamewar. I'm going to lock it before I have to start handing out warnings.

Cheers,
Clasyon - I think you need to re-read what it is that ubergine has actually said because he did not say what you seem to think he said.
