Personally I love the original (Pre-TU12) minecraft speeds for fast traveling across the map, but it was a bug and really *should* be in-line the PC version. 4J, can we get a new type of 'fast' mine cart? Perhaps a crafting recipe of a mine cart surrounded by redstone with a redstone graphic or icon on the side...
I Still think minecart speed boost should be an 'option', so those of us who acutally want to use them normally can, after all not 'all' of us are into the making of roller coasters.
I've noticed this bug since Tu7 and it's really annoying. The fastest way to destroy a tree is to break all the logs and the leaves will slowly wither away, but when you do that the shadow of the leaves are still on the ground after they've withered away. The only way to make them go away is to place glowstone or a torch in every shadow block, then break it and they'll be gone. Another very annoying glitch similar to this is trying to burn a forest down. If you get a flint and steel, and light every tree on fire, they'll slowly burn away. Afterwards, if you look at night time the light from the burning fire is still there, even when the tree and fire is gone. So, basically there's just a bunch of random light patches with no source everywhere on the ground. The only way to get rid of them is to go the center of each light, and place a block where the fire would be. This gets tricky sometimes when the fire is multiple blocks off the ground. These bugs are extremely annoying, especially when you have to clear a whole forest. Also, I've only done them on creative mode. Please fix this!

There were many reasons why minecarts travel slower speeds in PC, and not blazingly fast like in the 360, and we are seeing some of the issues of minecart speeds now. Its much more then 'setting' a max speed variable, these include triggering redstone circuits via detector rails, chunk loading, the way powered rail is supposed to apply breaks when unpowered and so on. Not to mention the lag the increased speeds can place on the server. Personally id be happy with the slower speed we had, but then again all those roller coaster builders would complain so IMHO make it an 'option'.
Also forgot to mention that zombie pigmen are able to spawn on stairs, I believe this is a bug, and hopefully fixed in the next patch, very annoying to have to do so much jumping in the neither cause one can't use stairs.
I don't think I can wait for TU14 for all these bugs to be fixed, they are very annoying.
Seriously, your going to cry about a few bugs that really aren't all that bad, 4J are doing their very best to fix them, give them time, and offer some freaking support and constructive criticism rather then idle threats that your going to stop playing.
There were many reasons why minecarts travel slower speeds in PC....
No, actually there aren't. 4J acknowledged that the faster speed on the 360 was a bug, but people have gotten used to it and clearly the voice of the community has decided that they are more fun and more useful at these speeds (I agree). Again, I think the best answer is to have a faster 'coaster' cart and keep the classic carts in line with the PC version. (Besides the fact that PCs can load chunks faster than the 360, so it wouldn't make sense that it was an intentional speed change for performance reasons.)
The only game-breaking bug I think is the bug where you can't destroy a minecart with your bare hand in survival. My cops and robbers map won't work with that bug.
When you kill yourself (In survival) by using arrows or splash potions of harming, the death message appears as: Player 1 was shot by Player 1 (by arrows) Player 1 was killed by Player 1 (splash potion of harming)
It should be at least be Player 1 was shot or Player 1 was killed by magic.
When I try to exit the end on the respawning screen if freezes up. I am afraid I might have to delete the world. ;(
I'm going to guess that this might be related to a CPU usage spike. Without having your character try to leave the end, have a second player come into the world and try to minimize things that use processing power near the area of your spawn. E.G. if you have a lot of domestic animals near your spawn, have that second player move them out of the area; if you have a lot of redstone giving off light updates near your spawn, have the second player temporarily disable them.
If this can't be done, try at least loading the game in Peaceful mode to shut down any hostile mobs on the map.
Doing this MAY POSSIBLY lessen the load on the CPU enough to enable you to get out of the end without a freeze... then you can look at more permanent ways to manage the activity around your spawn point.
Looks like it to me. As far as I can tell, the game is actually in worse shape after TU13 than before it. I've played all of one time since TU13 and the plastic pack came out, and between the two have lost all desire to play until this stuff is straightened out. I understand bugs will always exist, but to not actually fix things it was supposed to fix, reintroduce problems fixed in previous updates and overall make the entire experience worse, is just not right. These things need to be fixed before even more issues are introduced in the form of new content.

Yep, same here. And we're probably several weeks away until we see another bug fix roll out. :-(
I'm having a problem with my Xbox version of Minecraft. All sound effects of walking on grass, mobs or breaking block is completely mute. The only sound I hear is when I am in the menu selecting the the options and stuff. I have tried deleting worlds, unplugging my HDMI and back, unplugging the Xbox and selecting the options to raise the volume 100%. Nothing works. When I bought this game, it just came out on the Xbox arcade and it sounded just fine. It stopped the sounds about 3-4 months ago. Is anyone having problems with this? Please if anyone can help I would appreciate it. All my other games I play sound just fine, minecraft is the only game that has no sound anymore. I tried google and no one has this problem. Please help. Thanks.
Also before I was having problems with the sound, it wouldn't launch my game. It would keep on saying "Connection failed Connection to the server was lost. Exiting to the main menu". But after awhile it would finally launch the game. So I wonder does that have anything to do with my Minecraft having no sound? And again, I've adjusted the slide bars in the options menu and there is still no sound at all, and the volume on my HDTV is really high. I would like someone to help me fix this problem, it is rather annoying playing Minecraft without any sound. Thanks.
I'm having a problem leaving the End. When I go through the portal, on occasion,, my xbox will freeze before the credits roll. Most frequently, every time I get past the credits, I spawn with nothing in my inventory or quick slots and with out armor. In addition, nothing in the over world loads and I fall to the bottom of the world where my xbox ends up freezing.
I have tried using a second controller to break any bed I may be spawning at, but to no avail. I also have tried dying by falling and it does the same thing as when I leave through the portal. This renders my current world unplayable with my profile, aside from the End.
EDIT: I removed my map-in-frame with a second controller and was able to leave the End on the first try.

Read the post I've quoted below for new information on your issue. If you have a map in an item frame, try removing it using a second controller. Thank Pak4Prez20 for finding a workaround.

A big bug that i have noticed for a while here that has been going on since title update tu12 would be with the new zombie sieges. It's great and all that the zombies attack the villages But i don't think that the zombies should be spawning inside houses and structures that are doored and fully lit. I have also seen zombies spawn in houses with villagers in them. I'm hoping there is a simple solution.

Its not a bug, and it happens on the PC as well. You might try providing an area where its dark, and funneling the zombies through some area where you place an iron golem. The do prefer to spawn in the dark. There is no perfect way to avoid a zombie siege. Light levels do not stop them and yes they can spawn directly in a house.
The siege takes place at roughly midnight so you can 'sleep' through it and avoid them, or play on peaceful where zombie sieges cant't take place. You could also make the floors of houses out of half slabs, glowstone or glass (transparent) to prevent them spawning in houses. Remember that in hard mode they can break down doors. A zombie siege only ignores light levels, all other spawning conditions must still be meet.
A combination of the above tatics should help you defend the village.
Not sure if a bug. I added the new natural texture pack to our established seed. About every 3rd or so time i jump in one of my mine carts it puts me in the block it's up against and i start to suffocate and have to use the pick axe to get out. We dead end/start our rails with usually a stone block with a black wool on top of it and the button goes on the wool.
Did not have anything like that occur prior to the texture pack. (btw the texture pack is very nice)
When I was making a tunnel, the light source from before the roof was on seemed to stay when the roof was applied.
Also, when using redstone lamps to light up a place, it doesn't light it up until i place a block on the ground where it is suppose to be lit. When I turn off the lights, the place is still lit, so I have to place a block on the ground to destroy the "light source."
1. If you push a cake with a piston the cake disappears, not in its pickable state but completely vanishes.
2. Ghast will not enter a minecart, the minecart keeps bouncing off the ghast. I've tried positioning the ghast at various degrees of elevation, from on the ground, to several blocks above.
3. Not really a bug, but more so a plea, please make it so that items in thier broken or collectable state to not 'stop' or worse yet bounce back minecarts. They should pass through them unhampered.
