agreed. theyll probably hit us up with tu13 very soon for the bug fixes then try to give us tu14 as a Christmas present so to speak. just speculation, but it seems like a reasonable time frame. as far as content though i have no clue. hoppers, horses, villager trading. who knows. its best not to speculate and just enjoy the game where it is now.
If they do give us TU14 for a Christmas Gift they better hope it satisfy evreryone because some people were quite disappointed on the TU12 because of the stuff that they had (very little as they say). Let's hope TU14 is going to be the BEST TU they ever released

I don't think it's humanly possible to satisfy everyone here nomatter what is added.
anyone who was disappointed doesn't know how to read, they told us exactly what they were going to give us in the change log. nothing to be disappointed about, the build height increase was major. also they set up a lot with villager breeding. and the jungle biome was pretty major to. they would of taken months more to add any thing else. plus they set up texture packs and mash-up packs. anyone who is disappointed would never truly be satisfied.
Based on history... and the fact that I was right when I said this the last time...
TU14 will contain bug fixes for bug fixes.
TU9 is the only feature adding update that was followed by 2 bug fixes. The reason was that TU9 had an urgent bug fix slid into the schedule about two weeks after the original release. TU12 has no such critcal bugs and will not be getting an urgent bug fix. Therefore, it is far more likely that 4J will return to their normal pattern of one feature adding TU followed by a bug fix TU about a month after the release of the feature adding TU. Then sometime after the bug fix (usually a month or more), they will have another feature adding TU. TUs 1 through 8 followed this pattern.
I really really hope they start doubling up. We need the 1.3.1 and we really need the scary update or whatever its called with witches and withers. Thats the one I cant wait for!
At least trading and temples. Anything extra like flowerpots, coal/redstone blocks, nether quartz, cobblestone walls, ender chests, withers, horses, etcetera would be considered a bonus.

Personal history... the last time I stated it, I was right.
PurpleMushroomz is technically correct because each update so far (including feature updates; take TU12 for example) has included bug fixes for the previous update. However, it's a given for all of the updates, so that's not really much of a surprise.
I think it's more likely we'll see a return to roughly monthly updates now, with TU13 bug fix toward's end of September and TU14 towards end of October.
The biggest drain on TU12 seemed to be the new file format, and altering the game to allow for the new texture packs/MUs etc. After they've altered the guts of the game so heavily, returning to "simply" adding features may be easier and quicker.
Things that might upset that though:
4J will be preparing PS4 edition for PS4 launch (if what was said is true about it being a launch game)
Also there's Xbone ediiton, Vita edition, PS3 edition...
As such they may want to have every single version be at parity, and so release TU14 for 360 when all or some of the other versions launch, eg mid-late November.
It seemed to work well with TU12 to have the cycle be longer and do more bug fixing, so the release was much more stable than TU9. Delaying the 360 update to come out with PS4/Xbone may have the same advantage for stability.
I'm also surprised there's been no talk whatsoever on Minecraft Realms, although there's been little enough it seems from the PC end of it too. Having simple-to-use servers seems like it would be a gold mine, I'm not sure why it hasn't been acted on more quickly. At any rate, if that is on the cards then Realms support might be a big part of a future update as well, which would surely (at least) rival TU12 for complexity at their end. The heavily server served Xbone would be a prime contender to have this service put into it quickly.
now that they've already done the work converting the game to c++ it should be much simpler to port the game to consoles with respect to similarities of course , with the ps3 and 360 likely being identical in content and very similar in code and likewise with the ps4 and xbone. of course the architectures are slightly different so they may have a few quirks to work out but it should be far less time consuming than the move from java to c++.
I couldn't speak to that. We also don't know anything about how large 4J's team/s are either. You'd think when a game sells tens of millions of copies you might expand the size of people working on it. Minecraft PC still gives the impression that a couple of guys are working on it, although I've seen the proposed changelog for 1.7 and it's pretty massive. It actually adds to my current idea to ditch the game (and the 360) and take it up again maybe on a new platform down the track. Maybe by then they'll have written books and legit map-sharing so I can actually bother making the adventure map I've been forming all this time.
There may be lots of people working on the coding that the public will never know about. Most smart corporations limit public relations contacts to a few select people rather than allow a free for all tweetathon by all their employees.
Ender chests won't transfer items between maps, just between chests on the same map. Though if they somehow manage to add that function it will be a massive improvement.
Sad to realize I misunderstood "transfer between worlds" meaning nether and ender rather than to another map. And yes, that would be a massive improvement for xbox with these tiny worlds. Thank you for pointing that out.
I think it's safe to say we will be getting a few console exclusive stuff in TU14, because 4J did say a while back that we would go to PC equivalent of release 1.3 and then go our own way making console exclusives and adding popular demanded stuff.
The only thing in 1.7 that wouldn't be on 360 is the extreme mountains. The biome changes could be on it easily enough. Getting a world with all biomes would be pretty impossible though, it's bad enough now.
1.7 didn't really add extreme mountains... PC won't get realistic mountains either, we will all just stay at 60-100 block (from base to tip) hills, real mountains on average are 4,000 blocks high (12,000 feet)
Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
id guess the scary update. withers are supposed to be added and also villager zombies. well idk wat all is added in scary update but id also like books to write in instead of using a million signs. villager trading. emerals. and some update to boats. they need more durability.cant do a good travel system wit them unless u place em everytime. and even then they still break sometimes
Anybody know what is going to be added in the next major title update? we know the next is going to be a bug-fix update, so what should we expect for tu14?
first of all i just came back from oral surgery on my gums and they game me that laughy gas so i may sound stupid, but to answer ur question ill saw right after tu12 started i did a lot of research for tu 14. since 1.2.3 is the feature update were on now th next feature update will be 1.3.1 which includes , emeralds ,emerald ore, emerald blocks, trading , trip wire hooks , book and quill , hardcore and adventure mode. and they added cheats but for cheats they may add just simple cheat options. but u know how they sometimes add like features from later updates. if i had to guess a later update feature i would say dyeing armour and dog leashes or anvils

Yes it would be nice to trade with villagers!
