Last week was Week 1. And the week before on (Tuesday) was beginning. And this upcoming Tuesday would be Week 2. If people can have patience and wait a simple 2 days or so then we can be fine. Don't get in an argument it's going to be out very soon.
Actually TU9 took 13 days, and TU2 took 14. Where are you getting "up to 10 days?" Also where is your source on "Microsoft does not work on weekends?"
My source is 4J. I will gladly find the link and share it with you. The simple fact that business days exclude weekends, should be proof enough that the Cert Team does not work on the weekend. USPS does not send out mail on Sundays meaning they only function for 6 business days.
Regarding cert what was said is that it is usually 10 working days. Working days don't include the weekends, or the 4th July. We still don't know when it's coming. Often no news can be good news (ie they have not found anything major yet) but we won't have a release date until it's done.
Sir awhile back 4j confirmed (either 4j Steve or another source) that cert testing occurred only on weekdays and they would always be out by or before the 10 day mark of the weekday. Thank you, come again.

Wasn't only them, it was other companies too, cert testing isn't only for minecraft.
IE; The Origins DLC for Black Ops 2 is in cert testing right now, but it will be released no matter what on 27th.

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
I was counting from the 6th lol, ok go on hate on me not like all of you do that anyway. EDIT: But if I am not mistaken wouldn't that still be Friday? Meh maybe not, but thanks anyways for the sources; anyone else never even told me where they got it from.
You can't just say they didn't work those weekends though. There isn't proof for either side of this argument, just circumstance. Circumstantial evidence shouldn't be enough to call something a fact, just believable. Either way is possible. At any rate I still think they work weekends, I don't see why they wouldn't.
I can confirm for you that weekend work is not the norm for the team that handles certification. (And yes I do have first hand knowledge of the process, and although I'm long outside my NDA, I won't be sharing too many details.)
Weekend work for that team is usually reserved for special launch products, not updates. Keep in mind they have to pay people, and they do everything they can to not pay overtime. So in order to do weekend work, they have to either pay people to work more than 40 hours, or "hire" more people. That doesn't happen unless the project leads or someone really important insists upon it. The chances of that happening for a Minecraft update are so slim, I'm willing to guarantee they aren't working on the weekends to get us this update. Also, keep in mind nobody that touches these projects really works for MS anyway. They are all staffed by agencies, so don't think "well Microsoft can afford to pay overtime", because it doesn't work that way.

Yeah, I pretty much see that now thanks to all the people that actually provided me links. Thanks again Mustache_Guy.
