I haven't been playing MCXBOX360 much lately but I was still checking this for TU12, now that I see it is coming out, I set up my xbox again, connected it up to xbox live and everything yet when I play it, itb doesn't come up with an update like it usually does. I can still do everything else on xbox live. Is there something changed? Any suggestions?
Oh really Bummer well sorry guys, any idea how long until it is out then?
The Certification Testing people at Microsoft do not work on the weekends so the update will probably be out sometime next week once they're done testing it.
They changed the release date because of testing. It's no August 9th.

Yesterday I was on my way to class, when a black cat fell from the sky. I didn't really know what that nonsense was about so I asked him if I could step around him because he was bad luck, but he simply meowed and then disappeared. I was a bit worried that maybe he'd teleported to Afghanistan or somewhere equally dangerous, but a wizard came and assured me that it was alright. I threw my Zune at him because I was 78% sure he was lying. The wizard roared at me and sentenced my mother to thirty five years of chain smoking. I was sad.

They can't change a release date if there never was one. August 9th was not the release date, that's the day it went into certification testing. It takes up to 10 days(MS does not work on weekends) for them to test. Once they're done, it'll be out.
Actually TU9 took 13 days, and TU2 took 14. Where are you getting "up to 10 days?" Also where is your source on "Microsoft does not work on weekends?"
Because, cert testing takes 10 BUSINESS days. TU 2 took 14 days because 4 of those days were weekends. Why do you think no update has ever gone past 14 days? It's because 10 business days is the limit. You see a pattern? Why has an update never released on a weekend? Why has an update never passed on a weekend? Simple, cause they don't work on weekends. At least not the testers.

The only example of that would be TU2, we can't really say it can't go past 10 days because it hasn't yet. I see how you can say business days, but you still haven't explained where it says "Microsoft does not work weekends." I'm still going to say they do, because Microsoft works on weekends in every other department that I know of.

The proof is in the pudding. Like I stated above, an update has never come out on a weekend. And they generally take up to 10 business days. I honestly don't have a source to give you, but to be fair in a situation like this it's not rocket science.
A quick add in, I know MS works in every other department. I'm not trying to say that they don't work on weekends. However, they only count weekdays as days in legit testing days. So why would they even be there?

It never came out on the 20th either, they must not work on the 20th. I suppose you could be right, but we don't really know anything about the cert process (unless someone does and they're holding back information :C ) so really everyone is just speculating.

True, we don't know much about cert testing. However, since none of us work for MS presumably this is our most educated assumption. I feel it's not too hard to believe.

I suppose, but it's not like any of it is definitive. All everyone says is "Microsoft doesn't work weekends" and "Certs only take up to 10 business days," I just like to add a different point of view for once so people stop getting in a rut and believe those things as fact.

I understand your point. However, it's always fallen in place. No update like you've said ever went past 14 days. (or 10 Business days) So there is, at this point no proof against it.

You can't just say they didn't work those weekends though. There isn't proof for either side of this argument, just circumstance. Circumstantial evidence shouldn't be enough to call something a fact, just believable. Either way is possible. At any rate I still think they work weekends, I don't see why they wouldn't.

Change log for Title Update 12 - August 9th 2013
You're mistaken. They posted the CHANGE LOG when they put the update through certification testing. TU12 isn't out yet.
Oh really Bummer well sorry guys, any idea how long until it is out then?
Yep. Because if you don't nab it on day 1, its gone for good...
