- Villagers will have children if there is room in their village.
- Zombie sieges will occur occasionally at night.

This is awsome! Zombies breaking down doors and sieges on villages, I can't wait. Does anybody know anything about the "rare drops for mobs" or new AI?
None of those changes were unexpected. This is the equivalent of the PC 1.2.3 release, and all of these features were in the PC as of 1.2.3.
I agree that it's all awesome, though. This is going to be my most favorite update yet.

Zombies and Skeletons can now pathfind much better (I saw a video on this that showed a zombie before and after the update trying to navigate a maze to get to the player, and they also avoid lava).
They we're, I never saw anything mentioned that it was equivalent to 1.2.3 then agin I know nothing about PC updates. So what does new mob AI mean? Just that they are going to break doors and seige, thats it? Rare drops?Jeez didnt think people would answer so fast lol excuse my last post

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the rare drops. Zombies will rarely drop iron ingots and iron shovels, and skeletons will rarely drop bows. Not sure if there's anything else in 1.2.3 that was a rare drop.

that would mean that getting across a massive casam would be the safezone from creepers.. and a mote of lava is Key for zombie proofing a stronghold

Yup. It also means that Skeletons become harder to fight in certain places since they do the same. They won't jump down from somewhere that would hurt them. Meaning that if you are in a Ravine or large cave, they stay on a ledge and just shoot at you instead of chasing you and falling to their death like they do now.

Nether mobs don't have path finding, specifically zisteaus and blazes.

Actually they changed it. Before, mobs wouldn't jump from any ledge to get to the player if it meant hurting themselves. Then they made it so that they will jump from ledges and take damage to get to the player. They changed it because creepers were four blocks away from players but wouldn't jump to them effectively making them pussies. XD
