Either I want it to come out on PS4 or Microsoft saying that the internet connection and the used games thing will not happen. If those things do happen, either minecraft on consoles will be killed or 4J will make one on PS4 because if they implement those anti-user things into the console, NO ONE WILL BUY IT. I am not a fan boy. I will buy the one Minecraft comes out for, and if it comes out for PS4, I will buy that because it is looking more appealing to me every day. If they block used games that will lead me towards PS4. I will NOT allow used games to be blocked for me. I will buy the machine that it is not blocking it. If Microsoft continues, they will commit commercial suicide. Gamestop does and will always control the flow of games from the companies to users. If Microsoft does something Gamestop doesn't like, they can deny the flow of games from companies to users on Xbox one. Gamestop is in control. Gamestop can do anything they want to. If they don't make profit from used games, they will go out of business and the flow of games to users will be cut off, and console gaming will fall apart. The longer console gaming can hold on, the better. It is already not looking too good for it, but if Microsoft screws this one up which they might, console gaming will be in jeopardy. I don't care which machine I buy especially since halo has gone to hell. Three was great, reach was okay, and four was terrible. Microsoft is starting to be kind of cocky because one of their staff, saw a page regarding the internet connection thing, and instead of helping, they posted #Dealwithit. Bad move by them. I have a feeling that they will screw this up big time. I won't be surprised if they screw this up big time. I would not be surprised if console gaming died because of their failures. If it does, I will be way ahead of them if it does die. I am getting a Nvidia EVGA geforce 9800 card for my computer. This generation might be the worst thing since the crash in the early 1980's.
There is a chance that it will happen on PS4 because there could be no exclusivity deal thing at all. PS3 did not have enough ram to play Minecraft. That is why it was on Xbox 360 only.
Microsoft has E3 tomorrow to change their mind about the used games thing and the internet connection thing. It was criticized on almost every website that I saw about it. So was the used games thing. If they still go on with it, they won't have much success. Only the people too oblivious to know what it is they are buying will buy it. Lets see. It won't work without internet, it will block some used games, and it will spy on you in your sleep. I don't want Microsoft watching me in my sleep. I don't want to have to outsmart microsoft on a number of levels, such as turning it around, unplugging it while not in use, and stuff like that. People are always saying negative things about it. Still going through with it won't be a smart idea, but microsoft will not care. Continuing will make gamestop go out of business and make it extremely difficult to get games.
It won't load. :C
Although I feel a bit foolish, because apparently I missed the part about the larger worlds....
Edit: It immediately loaded the second I posted. -.- Why computer, whyyyy...
Probably just that they are editing stuff off and on so the link is a bit unstable... and may indeed not work for very long... happens with breaking news stories a lot (in my experience anyways).
Xbox One edition is Awesome news. Microsoft was smart to do things the way they did, they are looking forward not playing it safe. This is risky but think about it, they realize that gaming generations are longer now, this means people spent more time and money on games, however, backwards compatibility is not a large enough market, this is why ps3 removed backwards compatibility and xbox 360 had limited backwards compat. How many people honestly plan on playing old games on a new system, within a few years the backwards compatibility won't matter, as people increase their library on the new consoles they won't care so much about the old one. As for cloud, Microsoft developed the One to work optimally with only 1.5 Meg connection, as a comparison the world average is about 2.69Mbps. Being a Network Admin, I know what i am talking about, internet connectivity is becoming cheaper and more available, and Microsoft is betting that in the next few years more people will be connected and a connection won't be such an issue for some as it is today, from a retrospective POV look back at 2005 when the 360 came out, did youhave connectivity, and if you did was it blazing fast...no, now more people have internet than ever before, and the xbox one is designed to work even with your phone as the connection point.
The announcement of Xbone Edition is terrible news. It makes it feel like Microsoft will continue to have exclusivity, and so the only game I particularly want is on a console that I will not have in my house.
An announcement of PS4 edition would instantly cure that, but now I am wondering if some terrible part of the orginal deal is that the control scheme, say, would be owned by Microsoft.
However, it is also already on the PC, so you don't have to buy an XBox One to get a full-blown version without the Xbox 360 limitations anyways. Nothing has been announced, so it might come to the PS4 or it might not. However, at the price of the new console, people should be able to buy a PC that will run the game, so any of the old arguments about not being able to afford the PC and being trapped on the XBox really kind of go right out of the window (if one is considering either an XBox One or a PS4). Regardless of what happens, there are already more different options of Minecraft available than a year ago... so why even worry about it?
I don't care if it goes to playstation, i have always been xbox loyal, and after that press conference i am not changing anytime soon. Microsoft makes a console that i prefer, with better live, cloud computing, and better customer service.

You're not alone. I am not some unreasonable ridiculous fan-boy, but to me it all comes down to value. The value for getting the exclusives I want (Minecraft XB1, Halo, etc.), the controller I like, the features and interface I am accustomed to, and the next generation power of the Xbox One (yes I know the Playstation 4 has more power in the box and is $100 cheaper) is still plenty enough value for me to gladly invest in an Xbox One. I would love to also own a Playstation 4 eventually, but the priority for me personally is still Xbox. I know that I am in a tiny minority in that, but that is okay. We don't all have to agree. I'm just sad that so many people are up in arms about their opinions right now.

We are notalone, quite a few people want the One over the ps4, the One has cloud computing that allows heavy tasks to be performed in the cloud, and thus making the xbox one more powerful, and only bare bones system is cheaper, the full package is 100 more than the xbox one. And not even psn is free now, they announced a 50 dollar online fee. And they have the same used game policy as xbox( they won't add fees to used games, but the publishers can decide to add them to the games they make) all in all xbox one to me at least is much better

You have some valid points here, I know the whole world thinks Sony's won over the console war and is the superior console now, but Microsoft KNOW what they're doing, they understand what they're talking about and are looking towards the future with their console. it's going to be a struggle for some, no doubt, but Minecraft on XBone wasn't a bad decision at all.
1. minecraft for xbox 360 will end. You will be able to play it but updates and support will stop.
2. Minecraft on xbox one will be available. You WILL need to repurchase. None of your worlds will transfer over.
3. minecraft on ps4? Maybe. I don't see why they wouldn't pursue that option. It will depend on the exclusivity deals that are in place or renewed
4. Obviously Minecraft on the next gen consoles will be closer to the pc versions in terms of world size.
Didn't give any details, it was just a trailer.

they announced Minecraft will be on Xbox one YESSSSSS! you can see the video under xbox new generation on the second page on your xbox home page!
It will have bigger worlds, and more players!
Maybe they were just trolling yeah that's it, just a big ol troll.
