People are saying that Mods might be added to 360 soon, possibly even the next update. What do you think should come in the next update? What do you think about adding Modifiers to 360?
Mod is not short for "modifier". It is short for "modification". Sorry, stuff like this bothers me.
And no - they are not coming in the next update, and even if they were, I wouldn't be too happy about it because we are still missing large portions of the PC edition's features. I'd much rather have trading, redstne updates, anvils, beacons, and stuff like that before mods.
It's illegal to have "mods" on the Xbox 360, if anything close to a "mod" we're to be added it would be a "content pack"
Very true, but in the Minecraft since of the word a "Mod" is something that changes/or adds to the original gameplay. And 4J already said they are looking at adding "Mods" (and texture packs) to XBLA. So yes it would be DLC, but it would still be a XBLA "Mod".

Well if you look at it like that, then every update to Minecraft is a "mod."

Not really since the game was originally put out on the market before it was even finished for the PC and the XBLA started as an old version of PCMC and we have been slowly catching up to current PC version.
But throwing out a blanket statement that we are not getting MC "Mods" is incorrect and misleading information especially since 4J has already stated that they are looking at adding "Mods" to XBLA and how to do so.
I personally think that they should focus on getting the game to be updated to the PC. Then they should add small mods that can be turned on and off in the more options menu. ex. Death chest, Timburr/treecapitator. Big mods like Mo Creatures, Galacticraft and Industrial Craft should come a lot later (even though I wouldn't mind having them now =P). Adding mods is not "illegal" because Mojang ALLOWS them on the PC. Mojang has even used(and stole) mods in the past. 4j should be able to use them if the author of the mod allows it and is credited. I'm not including hacking mods like fly and xray.
From 4J. We will be getting DLC in th future. We will not be getting PC Mods. 4J have already said they're making their own DLC, maybe with a little inspiration from PC Mods.
They made this section just for these questions and I'm glad they did. Anyway, it doesn't matter if you call it a "mod" or DLC because it's the same thing. They are going to sell mods as DLC because Microsoft will not allow us to mod it ourselves.

And what sources did you get this from?

It won't be happening mate.
In fact, this thread will probably be getting locked shortly.
We're going to get DLC, we won't ever be getting modded content
