I'm currently having a problem breeding animals in the new update. The animals show hearts, and start dancing, but still no baby. I've tried on multiple servers, and no success. Has anyone experienced this problem on the new update?
I'd say it would be the mob cap, but apparently not.
All herded all of my sheep in, so I'm not sure.
All I suggest is trying to find animals trapped in surface caves, kill them, and block the cave off (make sure no grass is in there).
Not only can i not breed any animals but there are zero wild animals anywhere! Except the odd chicken and the odd w
olf I have one pig, three cows and 32 sheep (2 of every colour). I cant mate any of the ones I have and I cant find any pigs to even try mating the one I still have because the other pigs I had just disappeared. I cant seem to find anyone else with this problem either and I can't see how this is because of some mob cap because there are no wild animals anywhere on my map and I have looked everywhere

You are clearly very near or at the mob cap for that area. I've tested this and tested this and tested it again just yesterday and have managed to breed successfully to a maximum of 48 animals overall (50, if you count my two tamed dogs running around the area). However, that is with a few of the pens spread out a little ways away. In a smaller area overall the cap seems to be somewhere around that 35 animals mark.
ETA: I believe the formula that calculates the cap has several variables such that the cap is not really a hard and fast number but is somewhat dependent on the area over which the animals are space AND the number of players in the world. This may account for what some people appear to experience failure breeding animals with differing numbers of overall animals being evident around them. As was also pointed out, wild animals can also be found trapped on cliffs and in sinkholes and caves and ravines. I do believe the naturally spawn rate for wild animals has been significantly reduced in TU9, which is again resulting in some worlds lacking wild animals. However, this is what several players were asking to be done... complaining since TU7 that there were too many animals running around.
I've tried killing all the animals around but my sheeps won't make babys.
