I've only started playing Minecraft recently so I've got a few questions.
-Win10 realms. I've noticed there is a 10 player cap as well as a 10 chunk draw cap for realms. I've seen some info here and there suggesting these limitations may be due to beta and that as time goes on increased view distance and population caps may be rolled out. Can anyone confirm/debunk this and maybe just give some info about it. ^_^?
-Win10 edition doesn't seem to have its own section yet, is that right or did I just miss it somewhere? If it doesn't have one, I assume it's just because it's still newish? Any info about if it will get a dedicated forum area soon?
-Minecraft online communities. I kinda found this place because it looked like the biggest/ most active community area. Is that true? Are there any other big/busy Minecraft forums that are worth taking a look at?
-I've been thinking about hosting a Win10 realm for long term, slow and steady town building. A community focused, survival realm where a small group of players can build bit by bit while as their time/schedule allows and eventually have a big joint built town full of interesting buildings and streets/parks, while also trading/ exploring with each other etc... I've noticed that people advertising their realms seem to follow a format for applicants. Is this a forum rule or something? Can someone direct me to some info on that? I don't really care about most of the info being requested and would word my thread differently if it's not required to follow that same application form format.
Also hi peoples! New forum user here, I couldn't find the introduction area.
- I'm no Realms expert, but there is a 10 "friend" at a time limit that can play, but you can add up to 100 "friends" to your approved-to-join list. I haven't seen anything about extending the "draw cap" so I can't confirm or deny those rumors.
- There are Win10 specific forums, and your post is in one of them. Funny, but since they're the same, for now they've changed it so Win10 is mixed in with the Pocket Edition forums. Win10 used to have it's own section (but java version players running Windows 10 kept posting in it). The forum rearranges sections all the time, so don't be surprised if it changes in the future.
- This is the "official" MC forum. There are others, but I (and most people) don't bother with them. You can Google for others if you want.
- That's exactly what Realms is for! There's no formal "application" forum format for applications.
There's no Win10 specific "Welcome" forum.... but welcome to the forum!
