When you play "full screen", there isn't a "quit" button you can use.... yet. It is that way "on purpose", but that doesn't mean it won't be changed (a lot of people have asked for a quit/exit button- and a real "pause" option).
For that reason, I play "windowed", but expand it to take up all the screen. That way I can use the ole "red X" in the corner to close the window/program. Sure beats the task manager.
Minecraft Windows 10 Beta seems to be lacking a 'Quit' button to exit the application. Is this on purpose?

In fullscreen you can close it by mousing over the top of the screen. The title bar will drop down and you can exit normally from that.
But the lack of a real close button is kinda glaring.
