Having an itch to check it out I downloaded my free Minecraft Windows 10 beta. On my first world I had a hell of a time trying to figure out how to make stone steps. I had never played the Pocket Edition so I didn't know about the stonecutter table until researching online.
On my second world I created I was right on top of a zombie spawner. I thought, kickass... I made a Zombie xp farm, it worked great. Until I exited the game and came back later. All the zombies had escaped out of the drop tube and only had 1 hit left on them. Apparently entities have that Minecraft early version bounding box where they can't stand to be inside one another is there. I never liked it...
I thought, I need to make a light switch for the spawner so I can turn it on and off. No redstone lamps... Redstone doesn't seem to be there for me like it has been. Scratch that idea I guess.. Then I thought about using sticky pistons to make hidden wall lights with glowstone. No pistons :(. So scratch that whole idea.
I had a zombie at my front door and didn't think much of it because I didn't hear it trying to break it down or see any breaking being done. Until it killed the whole door and killed me after. I solved this issue by making me a trapdoor in front of my door.
I saw a new type of zombie villager model and thought, that's one thing I could do, save the zombies and build a village. Only one problem, out of over 1000+ trees chopped down I never got any apples. Chests full of timber of various trees and saplings though.
Opening a chest to see my inventory I see that moving it to a chest seems a bit different. Furnaces need more attention to place objects in them.
I suppose I've been spoiled by original PC and Xbox Minecraft.
What would you like to see changed in this version of Minecraft?
Items that should of already been added before others?
Items that shouldn't be in this version of Minecraft?
What's your opinion on this version vs what you've known in the past?
The Windows 10 Edition as you may know is a port of Pocket Edition. Any features in Pocket Edition are in the Windows 10 Edition and vice versa.
Alot of the things not present in the game that you have mentioned are planned on coming to the Pocket Edition. Complementary to why Pocket Edition is still labeled "alpha," the Windows 10 Edition is labeled "beta."
The Windows 10 Edition is optimized to run on any device running Windows 10 including phones, PCs going into things like the Xbox or HoloLens. Whenever a feature gets added, you must be aware of things like the performance impact, the usability of something, the interaction to the game and also if the said feature makes sense on all types of devices. Redstone can sound nice coming from a PC player but when you take into account people running on mobile devices you have to start worrying about how it will handle the computational power needed to do something.
Needless to say in terms of playability, it's just as confusing as it is on the PC and the Pocket Editions due them not offering a tutorial for new players.

All that stuff hasn't come to the Pocket Edition yet? It must be new or something
