Hello there! I am more of a creative kind of guy and i know there are people out there that play on survival too.
But, whenever i play minecraft i will play with my friends survival world but if i have nobody thats a close friend on id just go into creative. I looove building things but what i dont like is building things for a longer time than i need it to. Building a wall 20-30ish tall and quite long is too much work going up and down. And up and down. There should be some kind of integration that
Can be made in survival
Has an option with all the blocks in the creative menu
Able to flatten
Able to burn all plants
Able to choose which blocks to add in
Where to place the blocks
A preview with R2 in which you can see where you are placing it
It can be very helpful in making a checkerboard pattern, tall buildings, walls, floors, stairwells, artificial lakes and canals, mountains (that are not hollow on the inside), bridges, ect.
Minecraft is all about being efficient with whatever you are doing, and spending the majority of the time on constanly placing blocks is a bit of a nuisance. Im not saying use it for everything but maybe make it on the larger scale. Like per say, a bridge. If its going over a crevice just build it normally. But if you are building it over a canyon, yeah, maybe it would be simpler to build. And you will have time decorating or creating other things
I also think that on survival the tool you are using with the lets say "blueprint" item correlates to what item you have to use with it. Lets say if you want to flatten some unnecessary scenery like grass in grassland, you use a flint and steel, and you can set it to "light" anything in a 10x10 area
Also tnt will be used to flatten 20x20 or tunnel 4x4x20 but will need more tnt the more you need things to blow up obviously. Or you can put in 10x10 carpet and it will lay on the layer you place the initial block on
There also needs to be safety involved with this. If you flatten something out then place the pattern or wall it will be easier. You can not destroy any man made objects like fabricated wood furnaces workbenches (just in case it is somebodys house)
The workbench lookalike or "planning table" has maybe a 10x10x10 grid where you can put blocks in (lets say a 10x8x1 stone layout) and click enter and you will get a "blueprint" that you will be able to use at your disposal. (You will be able to add whatever you want as those blocks so maybe its 6 wide and have red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple rows and have a rainbow highway lol) and it will spawn on top of the block you place it on, and always on the top left corner per say.
I know i have rambled on but this idea has always been running around in my mind. Mojang will probably (if ever) put this on mc pc edition then put it on the ps5 next but ive always wanted this to happen. I know there are plenty of mods and maybe this is one of them idk, but survival has tools, and creative has...... Creative has.. No tools but some Potions of swiftness?? Well they should help out the creative players out there and lay off the survival people for a bit. But do you accept my idea? Or do you hate it. Ive been typing for quite a while but, what can you change about my idea? And mojang if you read this please make it happen
Overall, your ideas are sound, but simply, its unneccessary. If you want to be creative, go to creative mode. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Sorry, I am not supporting this.
How about a new block?
You create the outline with this new block, then put a item frame on it, fill the frame with the block of your choice, and it will fill in the space, with your choice block?
