I have something that is very "common sense". It involves long distance signal (not instant) without signs...
People have probably figured it out already but whatever:
-Place water source blocks 7 blocks apart from each other for as long as you need the signal to go.
-Next make a "switch" to activate it.
-Make the thing that you have to deactivate using water
I know, I know it is extremely obvious
I have that under the tuts section already and in my tut vid XD
Gonna continue the computer idea.
the column of water doesnt work, So I've gotta Think laterally .
Also, I'm quite busy, so I'll probably just be able to post occasional ideas and review a few maps uploaded by you guys.
also, things that signals can do - push entities, drop sand, move blocks, makes sand dissapear ()
Pressed post by accident (Only use the forums on my phone )
what I meant to say us that I'm still investigating with the disappearing sand
I had a pretty awesome idea which I wanna give to the devs which is this... chests, that can pick up dropped items...
so you can make a Semi auto farm using water to break crops, and then the water current will send all the dropped Wheat to the chests.
Couldn't the pc's new hoppers do that?
@RUS I understand restrictive parents all too well
Ok, so what's going on this week. I heard we need a downward signal for signs?
I think signs-water(goes down The desireD amount) Breaks torch, drops the sand above torch, Breaks signs attached to sand. sign signal continues
Ok so that's that solved, and pretty soon, we all will be able to do this cause of the 0.6 Update
Sincerest apologies For double posting
I think I'll try an automatic trap for mobs basically
One thing I've noticed is a block update above a trapdoor also closes The trapdoor.
gotta try this out
We also have to devise a way of detecting mobs somehow.
if only mobs could cause a block update (sheep's eating grass may be able to)
One problem you can't attach signs to the bottom of signs (I think)
Lol, that whole idea with the sand is to solve that issue .
And yeah I'm trying to find a decent display recorder app to start a channel with vids and tuts.
I'll just ask around on the forum
OK, so right now I guess the main thing is finding more uses for What we have, and also trying to find some kinda way to detect mobs (I have a rough idea that when a creeper explodes, you die and drop your items, if I bury water That could activate something to retrieve your items . however this seems kindof impractical lol)
Are you on Android or iOS?
Actually you don't need signs for downward signals when sand gravity comes!
You are now part of this clan, do what you'd do normally in a clan XD! share ideas, etc, you get the idea...
Also, I must say, the HQ community types up more stuff then certain members of the Miners of MCPE *cough ANBU cough*

Alright well, there are a couple of ways you could make redstone stuff, but they were all already mentioned...

finally, I'd like to see the upward signal please, because, while it may be redundant slightly, you May have used a new idea
You just need a block update signal to be brought to a simple staircase, which has alternating stationary water & lava sources diagonal from each step. The first water block, when updated, flows under the next lava block, updating it and making a cobble block beneath it. This allows the lava to flow also, updating the water block above it in turn.
This can move diagonally upwards, like the picture, or curve in any direction at each block.
Both edges of the staircase need to be covered, but not necessarily the top, making it possible to actually place the sources without MCedit :-)
mind = BLOWN. I'm not sure as to what you could.. wiat... never mind ^~^ you could make some evil arrow thingies XD
Oh, and Mackthehobbit, that looks really awesome, and intriguing, and also gives me the chills when I think about cleaning it up anyways, I like it! no stupid reeds involved!
I have that under the tuts section already and in my tut vid XD
ummm........ i saw it (on thread) but haven't had time to try it out, restrictive parents XD

I could be Etho cause I'm also okay at design and building
