Yup. Notch broke the game again. Not with Invalid Server KEys... But, whenever I join a server, even my own server, servers I'm opped on, servers I'm not opped on. I can't do anything but move and chat. Breaking/Placing blocks ends in them reloading their previous state, trying to use items doesn't work (doors, workbenches etc.) and I can't kill anything. However, mobs and players can kill me fine. This is a game breaking bug as I cannot play SMP at all anymore. Notch, you did it again.
One of the players on my server had this problem, which he solved by installing 64 bit Minecraft, and, this is important! 64 bit java.
I have no idea what a "bit" is, let alone 64 bit, I only barely know what I'm doing here, but this seemed to work for him. Do follow the java instructions carefully, which he didn't the first time around, and surprise, it didn't work until he did.
Whether this is relevant to your situation I have no idea whatever.

Check your client mods. It's NOT a MC error. Mod conflicts can cause WEIRD things on servers. My wife plays too, and she had Single Player Commands installed, and until she removed it, she had the exact same problem.
If you say "sum1 hlp me plz" because its shorter and easier to type,I'll say "no"because its shorter and easier to type than "yes" If that ^^^ made you laughor I helped you, click the little greenplus sign down there!

So I cleared my bin, and now I can't connect to any servers because of Invalid Server Key. I wasn't getting this because I had Invalid Server Key fix instlaled, but I just tried to connect to my server 10 times, restarting the client each time. So ya...

set online mode to = false and try connecting. it fixes the invalid key problem at the expense of security.
Same problem with me. Don't know if it's with java (Im at school) but I only have rei's minimap and tmi, and they're both up to date with the correct versions. It even happens when I host a server locally!
