So I want to have two copies of Minecraft on the same computer, one for mods, and one for vanilla Minecraft. I've tried just copying all the files and the launcher, but the problem is, the copied launcher will redirect to the same copy of minecraft.jar as the first launcher. How do I make the copied launcher redirect to the copied mincraft.jar?
Thanks in advance! :tongue.gif:

Copy the vanilla jar and put it in another folder. Copy the vanilla jar again, but add the mods you want to the jar and put it in a different folder. When you want to play vanilla, drag the vanilla jar into the bin folder. When you don't, use the modded one. I hope that made sense. :unsure.gif:

Okay, that works. not what I had in mind, but that's a good idea. Thanks!

Ok what I did was completely move the entire .minecraft,{preferably the modded one} to a different folder, then create another folder, and download the entire .minecraft again for the vanilla version

ModdedJar/Bin
VanillaJar/Fake Bin
then you have a
ModdedJar/FakeModdedBin
and
VanillaJar/Bin
so you need to make to folders one for vanilla another for modded
