I have watched several video's and read a lot of the articles on what needs to be done to run Minecraft on Ubuntu. I used to run the game on Win 7 but am switching completely to Ubuntu.
When I first used Ubuntu 10 and did what the tut's said Minecraft worked, even in the 1.7, but then it stopped after a few times.
It would just crash right after login and I'd get this message:
Minecraft has crashed!
----------------------

I have installed and updated Java runtime, and set Minecraft.jar to excutable, and all that.
