Post the bugs that you have been experiencing after the 1.6.5 update and I will add them to the list here so that all the information can be found in one thread for notch or whom ever looks at these. If you see "(Tested)" next to a bug that means I've tested and confirmed the bug.
Server announces a restart and kicks all players from the server when re-entering the normal world from the nether.(Tested)
When i open chest minecraft crashes well first it says saving chunks and then black screena and then crash and there were no modded items.
Items still break after death upon first use.
When server makes an announcement ((in a grey color)e.g. Giving zoobiker some 30) and the sentance becomes too long and goes to the next line it loses its color and goes back to default color(white)(Tested)
When i'm loading a 1.5 map, as soon as i login this crash occurs in the server:
[SEVERE] Unexpected exception
java.lang.NullPointerException

at dh.a(SourceFile:1160)
at dn.a(SourceFile:43)

at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(SourceFile:307)
at bo.run(SourceFile:422)
And i keep falling with my character, can't see any blocks.
Mine craft crashes after using craft-able maps.
If you log out while sleeping it will give internal server error on log in.
cart trains run by powered minecarts are all but non-functional now. when a powered cart is pushing another cart up a slope (even a 1:1) or going around a corner it will phase through the cart in front of it and continue down the track, leaving the pushed cart behind.
Clay isn't spawning in newly generated worlds.
The framerate limiter options 90 and 200 do not. 40 works as expected.
Random game lag followed by a crash.
After an hour the server got progressively slower until it hit a crawl. I then proceeded to restart the server and rejoin. Nothing. I got this error:
When i open chest minecraft crashes well first it says saving chunks and then black screena and then crash and there were no modded items.
thats because you must be using a mod. most likely tmi it doesnt work in 1.6.5
and so it shouldn't be on the list of glitchs. its just a mod incompatibility

The updated 1.6 server runs on unix, but still not on linux (specifically Ubuntu Server 10.10 64 bit). I pass the same min and max jvm heap specifications on both OS's and it works in unix (darwin - OS X 10.6 SL, specifically), but I continue to get the "not enough space to initialize java heap environemnt.... blah blah" garbage. If the server can't run on linux anymore then I can't play it anymore... sucks for my 20$... a lot.

Im getting the same bug but i forced an update to get rid of all mods and it still happens, any ideas on whats going on?

i had to delete my bin file to get rid of it. I had the same problem. I just deleted all of .minecraft and ran the instal again. might wanna back up your save worlds

It runs on linux. I'm currently running a server on CentOS 5 and its working fine other than a few bugs.

Nop i don't use any mods. I deleted my whole minecraft (except saves) created new world got some wood to make workbench and then created chest and i tried to open it then it says saving chunks then black screen and then it crashes.

a powered cart pushing a single cart also can sometimes get stuck and stop around a corner rather than phase through, but the phasing seems much more common.
Strangest thing. I can't find ANY clay in all of my Minecraft worlds. I have experienced this in both random worlds as well as seeds well known for their abundance of clay. Additionally I have found seeds with coords to a big cache of clay, but with no luck on my end.
I have completely wiped my computer of Minecraft and re-installed, restarted my machine a few times, ("at least 3 times, you know me")and looked at the .jar files to make sure the info for clay was present.
After a few hours of research and around 15 different unique worlds I see no clay. I have passed 100,000's of sand blocks located near the water's edge, but not a single block of clay.
every time i try to use the new craft-able map in beta 1.6.5 this error comes up. if there is any way to fix this i would like to know about it. thanks

same thing with me nadi loaded up a new world made a map and it worked fine its becuase you have a world before 1.6 and it crashes
I've got this nagging crash to desktop issue. I'll be walking along then it starts getting a little jittery and shuts down. I reopen and I'm right back to where I was before the crash, fortunately. No mods or anything.
Not sure what the issue is and I suppose in the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a deal, but every 10-20seconds in game my game will freeze for anywhere from 1 to 10 seconds. With the F3 info up the freezes are indicated by a huge vertical red spike in the little meter. I've deleted my minecraft.jar, version info, everything in the bin folder, and eventually everything in the .minecraft folder all to no avail. I have also made sure I had the current versions of Java (both 32 and 64 bit) installed. I uninstalled, scoured and reinstalled my graphics drivers twice. I tried all the different view distances, I've turned the smooth lighting on and off, I've tried all the framerate options and all of the
System specs are
AMD Phenom 965 X2 Quad Core at 3.4GHz
4GB DDR 1666 RAM
ATI HD5870 (Catalyst 11.5 drivers)
Win7 Ultimate 64-Bit
Minecraft 1.6.5(vanilla for testing but the issue is no better or worse with texture packs and the latest MCPatcher run)
Java 6u25 (64 and 32 bit versions installed as per a suggestion in #minecrafthelp)
I have also tried disabling my antivirus to make sure a scan wasn't causing the hitches.
The 3 times I've seen this since the patch, the server had not been updated to 1.6.5. If you can contact the operator of your multiplayer server, make sure they have updated. In one instance where this did not fix the problem, the user deleted their bin folder and re-downloaded java. They've had no issues since.

with the release of 1.6.5 I logged on without a hitch this morning,
as well as the other players on the server.
After an hour the server got progressively slower until it hit a crawl.
I then proceeded to restart the server and rejoin. Nothing. I got this error:
Connection Lost
Internal exception: java.netSocketTimeoutException: Read timed out.
I never have had an issue related to connection failure until this point.
I have forwarded all the ports on my router correctly, even attempted to
connect to the server using a vpn. I believe this connection bug was
mentioned by notch, in one of his various posts.
