Hi, I just got my friend to purchase the game on Friday. He payed through paypal and we have the receipt. After he purchased it, we tried playing the game on his account but it didn't work. So I emailed [email protected] or something like that, right after we payed on Friday. I waited saturday, no premium, then today, still no premium.
It has been 2 days since we purchased Minecraft and we have not received any kind of word that the account will be verified. Can anyone shed some possible insight? Thanks.
Then Notch wouldn't know who bought the game. When you buy it, it checks who is logged on to the website, and added that user to the 'Paid' list which enables you to download the minecraft.exe file and log in and play Survival and SMP.
You can't choose the buy option unless you are logged in so no need to worry that it won't go to the account.
If the same thing happened to you as it did for me, when I payed through paypal, for some reason it set the payment as an e-check and those can take a week or so to clear. And in the meant time the account will continue to say that you need to buy the game.
Check the paypal account to see that the payment has "cleared" and it's not still in "process."
I just checked, it was payed under credit card and the status was "completed' under everything. Everything about the payment went through, but it still says user not premium. It has been 4 full days now. The only other thing on our end that I could think of would be that he payed when he was logged in under a different account, is there any way to check with paypal or anything which account he paid with?
My cousin is experiencing the same issue, bought it on Sept 26, 5 days so far. Get the USER NOT PREMIUM on the client and You need to purchase the game to play infdev through the web browser. Going to try emailing the payment@mojang but from what I hear that doesn't seem to help very much.
I've been waiting two weeks to receive a single reply to an email about a paid account not registering as premium, and I've emailed both their support and payment addresses a dozen times. No answer on either one.
Can someone verify that they answer them? Everyone I've run into that's tried seems to indicate that they too receive no responses.
Also, since the subject of being logged in before paying came up...where is the clearly stated message informing people not to pay without logging in? I don't see it anywhere. I'm assuming they wouldn't fail to make something so essential abundantly clear.

are you emailing to [email protected] (email probably misspelled, check the website)
Any other email, he won't reply. At least that's my experience.

incase you still didn't get that;
the "buy" option is removed from the page until you login.
I see now that my account is "upgraded" to payed customer, but there's no text, icon or anything that says it is. But I can download the .exe from the download page now. Earlier I just got a error message saying that I have to buy it. So, still no reply from him, but I guess everything is fine. Just a lack of communication....
I think my account says that too but doesnt mean it works. Still no access to multiplayer or survival mod and I think once you get full game you can control spawning point, have a tutorial thats what I look for when I load my game up under controls
If I am wrong please post difference between the 2
It's been almost a week for me. What's my best bet? I've tried e-mailing him, but like everyone else, no luck. I've heard similar stories from requesting a refund. So, am I supposed to just accept that i lost $15 bucks and move on, hoping someday to play?
Ive got a similar problem. I bought the game and had my premium account for a few weeks then just lost it out of no where. Ive sent emails and my receipt but still nothing. It has been like a month. I would a least feel better if I at least go a reply but so far nothing.

Yes you still would have to buy it.
