righto, im on a macbook and i figured out why the game client keeps crashing every 5 mins. it maxes out its allocated ram far to easily, which for some reason is 63mb. the computer has a 1gb of ram, so ofc it should be able to use more. any idea how i can set it to?

Matt, seriously, stop trolling. So can you please shut the **** up and go troll the infdev forums about how much you want to get 10 bucks from your hobo house?
Minecraft isn't the only thing that uses up memory. Try deleting some useless things.
i have plenty of free memory, did you read the OP?
the problem is minecraft is only taking 64mb of it, and its constantly at 99%. this makes it crash after a minute or two of playing

Yes, I see now. There is a limit on how large the maps can get. It appears you reached your limit.
would you stop being a moron and talking bout stuff you have no idea about. my map is 1.2 MB total size, im talking about RAM, as in, memory, as in, RAM.
the problem: my game is only using 64mb of my ram, how can i set it to utilize more and not crash every 10 seconds.

it's something that has to do with your version of java that's not letting it take up more memory (but i think notch set the client to use 1gb of memory by default, which has something to do with this)

I think I flooded the map with glowstone via BC, IC and EE

You never told me how large your map was, asshole. Forget it, I'm not going to help you. You can figure this out yourself.
I remember from previous topics that you have to open your Java console and increase the RAM settings, but I don't know how myself.
Is your Java up-to-date though? If not, its possible that its outmoded and that could be your problem. If so, I suggest downloading and installing a newer version and trying again.
