I am trying to connect to a private server on my own network, along with another computer, and only one computer can connect at a time.
Specs: One computer is running windows 7, and can connect to minecraft (single Player) Fine and I have a Vista computer that can also connect. Both computers run through a router, port forwarding is enabled, and both can connect to other servers.
Any solutions?

You'll need to toy with the external url and internal url, try swapping em with both computer.
I tried what you said, and got the illegal names error, so I turned verify names off as suggested in other threads. That made the illegal name error go away, but brought back the can't connect to server error.
EDIT: It turns out I was using the ip address of my router, when the ip address to my computer was the one I needed - Thanks!

Did the host computer turn off anti-spyware/virus?
Is his ports open or closed?
No? Remember Cave Game...?
