Dedicated to all the Hebrew-speaking players of Minecraft out there.
As a native speaker, I was somewhat disappointed at the quality of the standard Hebrew language pack for Minecraft; it used a lot of transliterations, slang words, and terms that just don't fit, not to mention it's outdated since the horse update. To remedy this, I have translated the entire thing from scratch (using the 1.6.2 en_US pack as a basis), and since some of the terms (such as Creeper) don't have real equivalents in Hebrew, I made my own translations and used a lot of rare, new, archaic and even Biblical terms to eliminate the need for transliteration as much as possible. It also doesn't use Nikud (diacretic dots, since Hebrew doesn't have vowels), unlike the official pack, as I assume anyone old enough to play Minecraft is old enough to read without Nikud in the first place.
New terms created for this pack include:
*Creeper=Shartzan(שרצן)- from the verb "lishrotz"(לשרוץ) which means "to creep".
*Ghast=Rafa(רפא)- from the adjective "refaim" (רפאים) which means "deathly" or "ghostly".
*Redstone=Avtit(עבטיט)- an archaic word which appeared once in the Old Testament and refers to an unknown substance, translated in the King James Bible as clay.
*The Nether=Ov(אוב)- an archaic term for necromancy or communication with dead spirits.
*Enderman=Ben-Saf(בן-סף)- meaning "child of the end".
This pack was made entirely by me, if you decide to include it in your resource pack please give credit.
