I noticed several translation mistakes in the French Canadian language pack and I'd like to fix them. I know the stuff is on CrowdIn and I made an account there, but I cannot really fix the mistakes that had been put by the guy who did the translation since it's based on a vote system. I tried correcting some of them myself on there, but I don't have any enough votes for most of them. I also tried to contact the guy, but I didn't get any answer and therefore, the French Canadian language is stuck with bad texts which irritate me and perhaps even some French Canadian players, for those who care.
What can I do in this case? I'm a really good French/English translator and I'd like to have something better. Sure, I could start my pack manually, but I'd like it to be distributed along with Minecraft.
Thanks for any who can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

I love dragons! They're the center of my life! I'll never forget them...

You could send an e-mail to Jeb (Jens Bergensten <[email protected]>) requesting Proofreader status at crowdin.net. This would allow you to approve particular translations and even delete translations. If you explain the issues and your experience with translation there shouldn't be a problem.
Of course, it'd be wise to use this power judiciously. Some things are fine to leave to voting.
On the other hand, I think every language should have a proofreader just so that you get a consistent result. There are far too many people who just drop in and randomly add some translations in a way they think is right (or amusing) and then are never seen again. This is a recipe for a terrible translation.

Good luck with it!
