This translation is a work from me and friend. (Crumble_Z & B0) We decided to translate the game to leet speak (aka 1337 5p34k), basing ourselves on the US language file.
Not all the translations were made literally since we also wanted to add some fun to these translations. Feel free to check out our work and give us some feedback. We'd be pleased, and that will help improve our work.
We know that there's already some existing work about leet speak. But those are not up to date. I hope you'll help us keeping our one as fresh as possible
Have Fun in M!n3kr4ft

The Sound Packs mod was also applied to the game (hard-coded text, sorry )
Changelog Click on a date to see full changelog of the update
August 12, 2012 : Created (v0.1) August 16, 2012 : Updated to 1.3.2, changed wool and dye colors to hex triplets, translation fixes (v0.2)
To-do list
Leetify win.txt
Maybe some hard work on splashes (if you want to )
How to install
1. Open the folder : %appdata%\.minecraft\bin
2. Open minecraft.jar with 7-Zip, WinRAR or any other similar software
3. If not already done, delete the META-INF folder
4. Drag the file you downloaded(en_WWW.lang) in the lang folder of minecraft.jar
5. Add the following text "en_WWW=1337 5p34k (W0r1d Wid3 W3b)" to the languages.txt file in the lang folder of minecraft.jar
6. Enjoy !!!
FAQ
Q : Why didn't you translated any single letter to his leet equivalent?
A : We estimated that some words would be unreadable if every single letter where translated to leet.
Q : Why is there still some non-traslated words ?
A : Well, we probably forgot it. Just let us know and we'll fix that. If you ask this because of the how-to-use a command or the language button, we decided we better not translate it.
Q : Why is my question not in this list ?
A : Don't worry, FAQ come with time... We'll add more

Yes, it's important to delete the META-INF folder. In fact, it should be deleted before applying/installing any mod to the game. That's why I wrote If not already done

Heh, I forgot that I skipped step 3 "If not already done, delete the META-INF folder".
I am working hard on splashes if you want a trained professional 1337 5p34k3r. ^^

I think we'll do this on our own. B0 and me are real friends and we think that splashes need to be something kind of personnal. The same way it actually is with the Mojang team and their splashes, which includes (for example) Notch's wedding date....
If you have installed any other languages, they won't work anymore, here's the content of languages.txt only with M!n3Kr4ft as new language.
Don't hesitate to check you other languages post to look for what to add in this file.
(Sorry for being late, I was on vacation
The following may display without line breaks in languages.txt It depends of your text editor AND depends if you're editing it in or out of the archive. Don't worry if doesn't display exactly the same way.
This thread is a bit inactive right now because we're wondering how to manage other files (win and splashes). But you'll have the standard translation for 1.4. It's also because I recently bought Guild Wars 2, and I'm spending too much time on it... x)
So, the point about the to-do list, is that the file win.txt is (by default) always displayed in english, whatever language you use. And this file is also separated from the language files. So if you want the original one back, you have to backup it first.... So we're wondering if this is very useful.
About splashes, you probably know that they are a bit personnal to Mojang, so we decided to create our own, about personnal stuff you'll probably never understand. But we guessed it could be funny. As we don't have too much right now. We won't release it.
This post was just to let you know that the project is not down... We're just waiting for 1.4.
Greetings Crumble_Z & B0
PS : I started an engineering school. I hope I'll be able to create a very little software to help you install M!n3Kr4ft more easily, and maybe any other language pack... But be patient, I'm just starting the school.. =)
1.4 is coming... We'll update the language pack and release it as soon as possible.
As our planning allows us, (studies and stuff) we guess it will be available wednesday evening/ wednesday night.... European Time ^^
Yeah, I can't seem to get the language to work. There's two .jar files, one being Minecraft and the other being Minecraft 1.4.3
Every time I try putting the en_WWW file in them the game crashes, even if I've deleted the META file. Can't understand what I'm doing wrong, unless the file isn't compatible with the updated versions of MC.
