I agree that "sponsor me pl0x" titles are pretty annoying, but the title is probably the least important part of the whole thing. As long as it's something vaguely professional and makes it clear that you're looking for a free server, like "Application for Sponsorship", it should be fine.
If there's something I'm missing completely, though, feel free to correct me c:
Some people just fill out the template without reading the guide....
Maybe I shouldn't play Minecraft? I'm only 11, This is very confusing to me I have to pay for a server? Why would I want to do that? I love people playing games I would make but I don't want to pay... I am not going to go asking for my parents for money or to pay for me to have a server. Will I even get money for it or something? How do I add a siggy please tell me or do I just post my siggy or is there a plugin for a auto siggy?
This is a great thread, this helped me a lot! You really do care for forums, you took a long time to write this as most of us can tell! This is 1+ from me! Keep up the great work!

Please excuse the late reply, but I haven't really had the time to check back on my thread until just now :/
I realize you're still young, but there's something you need to realize for when you get older - everything costs money, even the free things. Sure, you might be getting them free on your end, but it takes money to design, produce, and market those things.
The world rolls on these sort of transactions. I give you something, you pay for it either by money or favors. It's the way human civilization has worked for pretty much all of human history.
Going into a bit more detail, the app for a sponsorship is essentially justifying why you should be able to pay with favors instead of money. If you're not going to pay the host with money, you still need to pay them back somehow, be it with marketing or money from other people (otherwise known as donations). If that's too much of a hassle, then there's always the option of scraping a bit of money up and paying for the server up front. There's really no obligations to advertise for the company or whatever, since you're paying for it.
I hope that cleared things up a bit If there's something that's still a bit hazy, don't be afraid to ask.
<off-topic> About the siggy bit: Go to your profile, click the "Edit my Profile" button at the top, and then "Signature" in the sidebar. Alternatively, you could just click this link; they both lead to the same place (I think). I'm not sure if I remember the limits for normal users, but I think it's something along the tune of two lines, one image, and one link. </off-topic>
Very useful stuff, I've added this to my quick link bar. I've got some older computers that I rent out as servers, and the most annoying thing in the world is when someone expects something for nothing, or offers you something you couldn't care less about in exchange for a server. "Well, you're not using the server right now since you're trying to sell it, so why not just give it to me? I'l use it, come on, man."
I'm going to send a link to this page to every person who asks me something like that. Thanks.
Sorry to be annoying, but where do I submit my application? Should I just make a new forum thread? Also, what hosting company do you work for? Not to be nosy, just curious.

I currently don't work at any hosting company. I used to be a moderator for the Servers section (now retired, but planning to get back into the action soon), so I hope that justifies at least a little bit of why I poke around so much in this section.
For best results, I'd suggest you start a new thread and put your application there. Alternatively, you could pinpoint three or four companies you think will be willing to sponsor you, and approach them directly and propose your server. There are probably a lot more ways you could go about this, but those two are the most popular.
Thank you for the guide! I have made a post but it appear's to be ignored by most host's. Would you mind giving me some tips on how to improve?
Since Entei is rather busy these few days, I went ahead and gave you some advice and tips but you've either ignored or missed it. It's located on your thread so why not check it out?
Thank you AdduxP for this amazing guide. Hopefully one day all sponsors will use this instead of "SPONSOR ME PLOX CUZ IM CUL!!!!!!". +1

Well, honestly, YouTube sponsorships are a bit like a popularity contest. Whoever has the most subs gets the servers, and the people who don't go home and try to get more popular.
Of course, that's definitely not the way normal non-Youtube sponsorships work :3

Pretty much life here in the "Hosting Requests". I've seen (sadly) someone post "I need a 7 GB survur, I have 26 subs!!!" and well... yea. You get the idea and how their post was written after that ._. I honestly will never understand people here.

We really need to create a youtube thing. Though there are very few people with enough subs to even be considered.

This is unfortunately not the place to ask, since this entire subsection is devoted to getting servers off hosting companies, not starting a hosting company for yourself. If you need the advice, the best option would be to ask in Server Administration.
There are some other really nice hosts that can probably guide you around better than I can in setting up your own company (since I never actually owned a company; I've only worked for one in the past), so you might want to ask them.
