Both can run 50 slot servers with no issues. Minecraft doesn't need lots of resources to run. If this is a home computer, running the server and the client together, the AMD would have some lag if the processors are a bit overloaded. But both seem bery good computers.

Well obviously these are both gaming computers. I assume you are buying one of these for personal use more so than running a server. If you are going to use this as a full time server then there are much better options out there. I ran a server on quad core AMD FX CPU; it was hosted in a datacentre but it was so bad. IF your going to go for any get the first one. Though the i7 isn't as good as a xeon, its for sure better than the AMD chip.
