Alright so me and 2 friends are going to start our server up soon but we are looking for a dedicated server to have more freedom etc.
I have been looking through the hosting plans at different websites and found soyoustart and kimsufi to have good low priced dedicated servers while the ovh classic VPS seems to be well priced as well. I would rather stay away from VPS but I would also like to have someones opinion on it as well. What my question is of each of these offers which would give us the most bang for our buck at 60 USD. I also would like to know how many players I can fit on the plan of choice and why you chose the plan vs the others.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I already know about the support

A lot of people seem to be inherently afraid of VPSes, and I don't know why. Assuming the company has their VZ set up properly, and not oversold, you could have a really good VPS.
That being said, a good dedicated server would be SYS. It seems to be right in your price range, and they offer a lot of RAM. I'd especially recommend this server: http://www.soyoustart.com/us/offers/sys-32-2.xml.
P.S. OVH's new phone support team isn't half bad, don't bother with ticketing.

For VPS I'd go with Kimisurf

And as Perfection said always phone up, you'll get an almost instant response instead of the 2-3 day ticket wait.
They're on AMD Opteron CPU's (which are rubbish for Minecraft).
Go with KS or SYS but remember theres setup fees!
