I do care about new content but they should also focus on finishing additions they made. Those features feel uncomplete and unfinished to me:
Horses (How they're right now they feel rather annoying to me)
Villagers (Ik 1.8 is not out but I'm pretty sure they won't add anything else to it)
Biome distribuition (Temperature distribuition should be able to be toggled, I would love to have the world gen minecraft pe has on it's new alpha 0.90, all 1.7 biomes distributed >1.6 style)
Structures (No new structures on 1.7 biomes, the biomes themselves are nice, but they feel empty)
Mobs (Minecraft needs some more hostile mobs and more peaceful mobs to add something to the enviroment, they don't really need to drop anything, and right now we only have one of those, bats)
Dimensions (The end: The enderdragon isn't that difficult anymore since we now have potions, enchantments, beacons..., The nether: Needs more to it, all I see when I enter it, netherrack, random pigmans, maybe some useless quartz and the same structures all the time, the only reason I would go to the nether is glowstone or nether wart and for nether wart you only have to go there once)
Performance (I do know Java is not the fastest language out there by the fact that I'm a dev myself, but in my opinion Minecraft is poorly optimized, they could add for example Cubic Chunks if they wanted to, but they're like "Ain't nobody got time for dat")
It's impossible to contact them directly. You can try twitter or reddit, but you have about a 1/1,000,000 chance of getting through due to the sheer number of spam/sucking up posts.
Lefty manages, but that's only because he tweets to them 1000 times a day. I don't want to be "that guy".
Also they are working on several other games at the moment too.
really last time I checked there was what, 2 games. They are slowing down. to Mojang, get more workable hours. Of course there is home and friends but if you ask me they are slacking of thinking there three games are enough to keep the company alive :(. in short terms they need to hurry up.

Yep sure do! *Random Question* And when was the last time they changed the struture generations?
Maybe they need to hire some more staff or something.
If they can't afford that, then they're not getting as much money as they should be out of Minecraft.
I'm only waiting for Patch 1.8 to come out to rent a Minecraft Realm and invite my friends to play on it, some of those may purchase new accounts. If it's going to be another couple of months though, I may lose the interest I've built among them. At first I promised them "June" as this is when 1.8 was planned for. Now I don't know what to tell them. Many have played before but don't want to start again until 1.8 is out.
Realms is already available in 1.7.10 though. If you are thinking about all the new terrain features, then you could ask everyone within the group to not venture out too far from spawn until 1.8 is out, like staying within +/- 500 blocks.

Yeah, waiting on content, not realms. Don't want a patch a few weeks in to a new world, when lots of exploring has already happened. Forcing people to stay close to spawn I don't want to do and I don't want to start another new world when 1.8 hits.
Nope their release cycle has changed. They slow the cycle for stable releases but the cycle for alphas/snapshots is frequent.
This is similar to most software. Take 7-Zip for an example.
Okay, let me bring this up, when the game was released they add a minimum of about 200-300 Class files (If you are not a coder, there were about 200-300 files were the code is.) Now if you think about it, every patch, every update, everytime they released another version. There would be a little more class files.
The more class files there is, the more time it takes to code them and debug them. It takes longer and longer,
Read that, I think thats quite a lot to add in a couple months
Imagine how much time it would take for you to put all this in by yourself. Then divide it by 5-6. That is about how many people are programming minecraft for the computer edition. Then take that time and add about 5 days, that is how long it will take to get all the coding from all 5-6 of them compiled. Then add another couple months for the debugging maybe 3 months. That is how I believe its going on.
Now every update it takes longer and longer due to more class files/files.
Why did they even add realms? I'm pretty sure nobody was asking for them. And what about the API thing that they have said again and again they would add? It's been almost 3 years since the first time they said they would implement it, they even took a poll and over 50 % that took it wanted the API. They just seem to be adding things for the sake of adding things, it's not as if them doing that is a new, but it doesn't make it any less annoying.
You can't just double the coders working on the API and expect it to be done twice as quickly. It looks like they have as many people working on it as is reasonably possible right now, without the project becoming too clustered. Rather than just booting all of the other employees out why not have them work on other features?

I didn't say they should double the amount of coders... I said that they weren't focusing on things that people have been asking for, FOR 2 YEARS PLUS! They even said they were going to add it "soon", 2 and a half years have passed and there is no sign of it ever going to exist.
The doubling figure was just an example. By focusing on things that you are asking for what else do you mean than to add more people to the project? Because as I said, it's not that simple. Do you want the API now, or do you want it when it's actually working? Also if we're going to debate about what Mojang said, can you please source that claim?

Its our fault they aren't adding the stuff we want...
Do you not realize that we are spamming them with 100's of ideas per day, and 1000's of spam letters per day? It is our fault, they don't want to pay someone 15 dollars an hour to search through there 1000's of emails, requests, ect. Just to find ideas, the reason why they do not want to put in our ideas is because they can't possibly check 1000's of emails per day just to find one.
Don't you think its hard enough when the community is calling you lazy, when acutally they are working really hard. They might even get hate letters telling them they are lazy, Its hard enough that the community is calling you lazy.
Also, the reason why they implemented stuff that you guys think was good before 1.5? I have already explained it, THEY ARE GETTING TO MANY EMAILS, REQUESTS AND STUFF TO PROCESS. They need at least 10+ years to go through all the emails they are getting.
Answer me this - Would you check through your hundreds of thousands emails one by one? Nope, you won't under what mojang is already handling they can't spare that time.
I agree they sometimes go a bit slow on updates but I like it this is how I feel about it: "Time to play some minecraft. Hey wait they got a new update sweet!"
4 weeks later "Ugh I'm getting bored of that one update god, Wait WHOOO HOOOO NEW UPDATE BABY."
I will say this...the recent string of snapshots has exceeded my expectations. The FPS improvements, water content and banner additions are all very, very welcome additions to the game. I would still like to see stone slabs and stairs added before 1.8 is finalized, but I had not been looking forward to 1.8 until recently. They could still use additional content developers, but props for the latest additions.
If they just add heraldic animals/symbols to the banners, it would be complete.
And maybe weapons and tools.

Praise be to Spode.

Really wasn't pleased by this.
This is why Minecraft is swell. This and the simple graphics.
If they can't afford that, then they're not getting as much money as they should be out of Minecraft.

Yesseriously.
They are getting lazy, I miss the age of seecret updates.
