I am wondering if Notch has siad anything about a planned release date for the 1.8 version. I know snapshots come in January but when is the actual version coming out? Can't wait for the bouncy block and granite . But that new enchanting system.....I don't know. If you could tell me if he did say and when it will come that would be great!

There has been no date set yet, but it will come out when it's ready.
Jeb/Dinnerbone has stated that there will be no more snapshots this year, so I'm guessing the snapshots will start in January and the update will arrive in late February/early March.

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.

Im just gonna say this, what is your opinion about when minecraft 1.8 is gonna come out. 1.7 took about 5 to 7 months just to come out of snapshotting. I don't know why you are so ready for 1.8 because i'm calculating that its not gonna come out until like March,April,June or July.
