So, we will never have a spinning yellow crystal in our beacons? Lame. Might as well remove the glass on them as well. It would make it look a little better with its current look.
I think I preferred it when it used recycled graphics and textures. It not only better showed what it was made out of (like pistons, rather than using a super new texture) and overall looked better. The old beam was much more superior to the new one in terms of aesthetics. Lord knows there's no way in hell I'll be crafting all THAT in survival.
The beam texture looks pretty random, more like a solid SPINNING POLE rather than, well, a beam.
Dinnerbone has been working on a repair system that uses experience , without losing your enchants.
OH MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME. Where are you getting these? I didn't see them on his twitter.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." §7- Mark Twain
When all this stuff was being added so quickly, I was on the side of people saying that Mojang needs to stop. But now that I take a step back and look at all the new stuff together and as a whole, I see that 1.4 is going to be a good update. Good work Mojang =D

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.

People easily forget all the additions , that's the point of this whole thread . a visual compilation of all the goodies.
Oh, god. YES. The single most annoying thing about repairing is enchants go bye bye... also the fact that we will be able to rename items without using McEdit and Sir Mr. Lord Master Epic Redstoner SethBling's Methods
With how much XP is required to repair enchanted items, it looks like this is another endgame addition like the beacons. On the other hand, we can now repair items with good enchantments like looting or silk touch!
Now watch as I accidentally repair a sword with bane of arthropods...

Don't get your hopes up. Dinnerbone doesn't care for the iddea, and Jeb doesn't want to add them.
