If the height of minecraft is increased to 512 or 1024 blocks (which might benefit from cubic chunks or 32 block high chunks) I would recommend the following:
1. Alpine mountains (tall mountains reaching up to the top of the world, covered un glaciers).
2. Alpine lakes/valleys/plateaus (temperate biomes between mountains, wildflowers in spring/summer)
3. Redwood forests (tall trees up to 115 blocks tall and 8 blocks in diameter (in a blocky circle, not a square). These can grow on hills and short mountains, meaning their peaks could reach above the anvil world height).
4. Volcanoes (mountains taller than extreme hills, possibly up to the size of alpine mountains that can either be solitary in tropical biomes or mixed in with extreme hills or alpine biomes; have core of lava and possibly a couple lava flows; rich in basalt, granite, marble, obsidian, and gems (diamond, emerald, ruby, sapphire)
Otherwise:
5. Tropical islands (about as big as mushroom islands, up to twice the size; filled with coconut palm trees, bamboo thickets, tropical fruit, and tropical flowers in addition to jungle trees and vines, with volcanoes in the middle of the island). Has a tropical beach transition biome (that can be a small island of its own) with crabs and possibly turtles, has a tropical sea and river biome as well, rich in fish and the sea having coral.
6. Red dessert (sand can now be colored, as well as glass; contains a couple types of cacti, flowers, and dead shrubs; covered in the reddish sand of the American canyon lands and has mesas made of red or orange rock, a new kind of rock, not a colored stone).
7. Ice desert (think Antarctica, never rains or snows, covered in snow and ice, has an ocean edge, has two new mobs: penguins and seals).
8. Temperate/grey beach (has a combination of gravel and grey sand, might have beach birds).
i want a biome where the only mobs that spawn are creepers the main block is netherrack and the beaches are made out of soulsand (still water of course though). And it has no little water ponds like the ones they took out of deserts.

The Mesa, Or Canyon Biome. Made out of Hardened clay, Red Rock, and have some Oak or Birch trees. Or a Island biome. I would love to see Volcanoes, like the ones in the Carboniferous Mod.

I like this idea. Almost like a water pocket. Only with caves that branch out into small air pockets that have glowing mushrooms and a few other useful things.

One biome? That's really tough. I wish they'd add the Biomes o' Plenty, that'd really bring life into the game. However, if I had to chose one, I'd probably go with meadows. Plains filled with flowers, nothing more.

I would add the scary forest biome were monsters do not just spawn at night even during the day and It contians poison rivers and worse If you are in the biome you get slowness 1 perminently and weakness as well permently if you are in the biome
Shadow plains.
Any tree in it has no leaves, and instead of grass, there's mycelium. The sky would be a dark purple, and the water would be blood red.
High rate of monster spawns, as it is a demonic place. No animals whatsoever.
Mediterranean (this does exist outside of Europe/Northern Africa... but is extremely common near the coastal areas of the Mediterranean Sea area): Sort of a cross between desert and savannah, it would have grass but include much more rocky terrain and bare spots with small patches of grass rather than big expanses of grassland. It could even include the introduction of citrus fruits of some kind (aka orange or lemon trees).
Yes! That's exactly what I was thinking! You see, I think there should be some biome in between desert and plains, and Mediterranean fits the bill perfectly.

I want the large valleys surrounded by enormous mountains on all sides.
I want waterfalls everywhere.
I want that amazing grass color.
It's so beautiful
I think its way to boring. I would like to see HOT SPRINGS in the minecraft game. There a good lifesaver.
