I want horses. I love the animals so glad to see this.
I think I'll laugh if they do something like make if ride able, but have it barely faster then walking. Maybe the perk to a horse would be you can pull something with it. Like a minecart and chest (or boat with a chest if they add that in the game). So you be able to haul stuff a little faster and not need to lay tracks everywhere.

They aren't the same. Stop saying that. It's not only incorrect, it's a lie, because nobody has any idea what they will do yet. They don't look Mo Creatures, and the may not act like them either.

They may be useful, but quit spreading rumors.
Agreed. At the moment all we know is:
- They can wear armor
- They can be tied to blocks (At least fences)
- They have different breeds
Possible features:
- You may not need to hold a item like pigs
- You may be able to jump (Unlike pigs)
- You may be able to control it like boats (Unlike pigs)
- A lot more better stuff I expect their will be (At least I know they are better then pigs)

If horses are added in a way similar to Mo' Creatures (and judging by their current armor, model, and skin, they will be), I hope the breeding system will be reworked. The Mo' Creatures breeding is very annoying and inefficient; I'm hoping it will instead be reminiscient of vanilla mobs. I can sort of imagine apples being used to breed them like livestock.
Source, please? Was there a different horse in the two pictures or something?
I was thinking they could scale the damage depending on the velocity, like Mount and Blade. Or that may be taking it too far, I dunno.
Horses are looking good so far, though.
Yep look at the first picture and the second picture: http://media-mcw.cursecdn.com/9/91/Horse_jeb.jpg http://media-mcw.cursecdn.com/0/09/Armored_Horse.png
The first picture's horse is lighter colored and its legs are white.
Second picture, the horse looks darker and its legs are brown.
And yes I may be wrong, they may have changed the textures of the horses since the first picture. I am not 100% sure about the different breeds, but I can say 90% of chance I may be right =)

I do like the mobs, but I do think they had better ideas for new passive/tamable mobs, but I think that they could easily balance horses, like having to tame them or have them act like pigs, just with more perks, so I like them, just don't add some of DrZhark's horse (Talking about Pegasus Packhorse, Nightmare, and Black Pegasus)
Does anyone think it takes to many apples to tame these beasts, It takes 64 apples. Also they have no sonud.
You don't tame them by feeding them things. You tame the horses by riding them repeatedly until they stop throwing you off and when hearts pop out of them. By feeding wild horses things like apples, wheat, sugar, golden apples and bread you increase the probability of taming them. So, feed horses stuff to tame them faster but you don't need to feed horses anything to tame them.
As for horses having no sounds...well, what were you expecting? Snapshots are generally by definition a sneak peak of the latest features -- which means that nothing is concrete, things are subject to change and all new features still need to be finalized/polished for the official patch. Not to mention Mojang has a tendency to implement new mobs and then add the sounds later, anyhow.
I said this, he made some smart remarks and I received a infraction
yes, This... my girlfriend, who says peaceful is for cheaters, this guy is just a sexist troll.
