So I heard they were adding an ore into the nether, so that means I am going to have to delete the nether on my world so my game will create a new one. So I can actualy find some ore?
Just curious, or will it be a drop from something.

Well that's stupid.
Now the only thing that slabs are useful for is decoration.
That doesn't make a difference its all the same nether but a different portal.
It spawns you a different place in the nether so there are new chunks with the new ore, provided you built the portal far enough away from the original one. The point is that traveling in the Nether is very difficult, so do it in the Overworld.
I'll be ed if it's just a re-textured version of iron or something. As in, you smelt it and it gives you an iron ingot. I want, like... nether ingots, which are red. Something like that, so long as the end result isn't something you can already get.

Actually, I would rather have iron ore in the Nether, along with some meager source of wood.
It has always been my dream to obtain sustainable living in the Nether. I've been wishing for Nether iron since late Alpha.

The Internet is a big place, friend. I've been places you've n͍̺e̩v̦e̦̰͍͓̩ͅr̜̭̝̬̬͉̤̬ ͙ịm̖͇a͍͇̤͙̥g̤̘i͔͖̤̼̪̬n͖͔̳̬̯e̩̘ḓ͈͔̠̙͇̼̯.͎
The nether should get more than just one ore, anyone agrees?
I am not begging for 342 ores, maybe just one or two more and use them for different redstone things, like an ore for a daylight sensor, one for allocators and one for capacitors.
Hrmm... Nether Crystals?
IRL, most advanced electronics are built around semiconductors, and most semiconductors are derived from elements that make really nice crystals. New ores for redstone-related stuff should (in my opinion) be crystallic.
Also, crystal have a sort of mystical feel and would fit in well in the Nether, I think.

Not only ores or crystal formations, how about adding more to explore in the nether?
Like new biomes, cause although the nether resembles a cave there could be some diversity added.

I really like this idea. It'll really add a mystical and dangerous feel to the ore and the Nether, I think. Also, having more ores and such in the Nether would make the place more "lively" and fun, in general. Of course, they'd need specific functions and such to go along with their addition.
Anyway,
yeah, a crystal in the nether would fit in well, both with the theme of redstone and the theme of the nether IMO....What about a ruby o- HEY, WAIT A MINUTE.....It's that idea all over again!
1. D'aww. I thought nobody had noticed. :3
2. A good idea always bears repeating, especially when it is good enough of an idea to easily adapt to fit perfectly as time marches on without it.

ok, they're not gonna be old ores in the nether. They will be new ores needed to make the new redstone devices. they were made to encourage nether exploration.

That would mean the same thing. I just wouldn't build in the nether in fear of loading to many chunks and having it be a big pain to gather the ore.

I'm always delete old, and generate new.
How long I must go, to see it?
Hello from Russia.
Edit: Here. I haven't been following Minecon, so I didn't know about these. Sorry.

Praise be to Spode.
