1. Last time I used it thats what color it made your vision.
2.How would it be useless? If anything its just not practical to begin with. I don't see how it being black and white would hamper the potion at all.
3.Last time I checked installing mods was a hassle for most people, so that doesn't really make a viable substitute.
1. Are you sure?
I'm not so sure. Doesn't look blue.
2. Yes. Because it is so easy to tell blocks apart when they are monochrome.
Amazing! That makes it WAY easier to see than just turning up the brightness. Obviously un-tinted makes it SO difficult to see. Making the world look like an old newspaper makes mining in the dark WAY more efficient. And picking out different players in PvP is going to be, like, SO easy since I can't tell any colors apart now. GENIUS!!!! [/sarcasm]
3. Last time I checked, mods take about 3 clicks to install. If that's too much of a hassle to do, you probably lack the patience to brew any potions anyway. New features should be made to cater to idiots. They should be design with actually serious players in mind.

1. I don't keep up with every snapshot sorry I have other things to do.
2. It was a suggestion you don't need to butt hurt so hard about it.
3. That black and white lighting looks pretty awesome to me. Makes the game look more dynamic.
4. I can Mod my game just fine, but it still seems to be an issue with quite a few people. Not everyone is good with modding games and that certainly doesn't make them stupid.
5.If you considered yourself to be a serious minecraft player then you wouldn't be so jaded towards other peoples opinions.
-p.s. double check that last paragraph, unless you want it to cater to idiots-
....Then how comes I do see an slight blue tint...? Tell me, am I getting colourblind or something??
I don't see any blue tint beyond the natural color shift of night time. -.-
I see a dark-blue sky made more blue because it is being seen with the Night Vision potion.

No, no downsides. Nightvision is already underpowered as is. It is practically unnecessary with the brightness setting up, and it costs 8 golden nuggets to boot. It is the third-most expensive potion in the game, under invisibility and regen.
Random thought: Making your vision like it is in that screenshot might be a cool idea for an effect from wearing a zombie mob head... Although then they'd probably get complaints from people throwing up... 0_0
Let's do it! Sneaking in off-topic chat and spamming Skyrim everywhere! VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!! Skyrim
A random though indeed, but impractical. A potion effect capable of distorting your vision in a similar manner, however, would be useful for modders and map makers.

What? I think it's very good, what do you want it to be?
It's purpose is to make we to see better in the dark, not like seeing things go awkwardly bright!

I could not agree more. :3
