So with th potential addition of invisibility potions, I can't help but feel like it won't have a huge impact on single player survival. With the obvious exception of it's pretty cool to be invisible, what are the likely applications for invisibility in single player? No mob aggro via sight? Immunity to looking at our friendly endermen?
Either way, should be fun when mixed with splash potions of poison on pvp haha
I know this potion is in the coding, so you're right about the potentiality that it could be officially released.
I think when you drink it/ splash it on yourself, other players can't see you, and vice versa. If all mobs don't notice you when you use it, it'll become absolutely overpowered. Splashing it on other players/ mobs should make them invisible. But again, it must be hard to get ingredients to brew, or it'll become overpowered.
This will be a cool potion but lets hope they use ingredients that are hard to find otherwise everyone in servers will be invisible. That would suck for PvP servers.
Hmm, true. Perhaps it could be balanced in relation to
mobs by having a short duration (I think it will anyway though), or perhaps reduce the range at which mobs will
Aggro you. Level 2 potions could reduce this range further? Or perhaps remove aggro completely, but halve the duration, thus used only for emergency "oh god I attacked a pigman without any armour" moments.

It's in coding, but not properly coded, so doesn't work yet, simaler (lol, I know it's spelled wrong, I'm tired and can't think) to Night Vision before 12w32a.
Even in Dinnerbone's (or was it Jeb?) latest screen, it partially worked, but still showed armour (floating pants FTW!).

I have no idea what to put here, nor do I have any idea what to make my profile pic. Ideas welcome, I suppose. Now satisfy my like *****ing hogging self and give me a little rep, please and thank you?

Yeah, I just noticed Jebs tweet with the invisible player holding a crafting bench in his hand. The floating armor would be kind of a dead give away in multiplayer servers...
Invisibility potions would be a fun addition, especially for adventure maps with the new spawner flags... +5 Charged Resistant Fire Resistant Invisible Jumping Creepers of Greater Haste anyone?
I'm not into pvp at all, so i doubt I would use this potion. But I am hoping that this means we are getting an update on brewing in general. Such as the addition of "under water breathing" and acquiring "Night Vision" in survival mode. And many more hopefully lol...
