So minecraft is almost one of the most popular games around today, allot of people know about it. But as time passes by there will come a day that the sales start to go down. As Notch stated it will be open source, it seems to me like that seems like a good idea. I'm sure that minecraft will still always be remembered as one of our favorite classic games growing up like for me. I know things will start to change quite a bit once that happens. It's possible that there could be a community of developers on something like Github for working on minecraft or something like that. What do you think minecraft will be like as Jeb retires from Mojang as well for other members in the future? It's allot to think about. I just hope that mine craft stays under the right developers who have a good sense of creativity and confidence in what there doing is making the game better. Think about it. What would you like to see happen when minecraft becomes open source?
Recently, Notch uncovered that Mojang has a 10-year plan if they start losing money. Judging by Minecraft's rising sales, you're gonna have to wait a few decades.
Back on topic, Minecraft is basically an open source game already. While the code isn't free to download, you can mod the game if you have it and do whatever you want, as long as you don't sell. Either way, it doesn't look like Minecraft will start dying down anytime soon.

Sorry for this, but that's what has woken up.
