I agree that it could be a dungeon, and it is obviously underwater. It does seem that the blocks at the edges are giving off light and the floor is some type of coral or underwater sand/stone perhaps. Can't wait to see what this actually is
There wasn't a long time between the first screenshots of the new biomes and the first 1.7 snapshot that released them, if I remember correctly, so in this case we might get to test this sooner than we think. Jens likes to make new features, not listen to feedback and release the first draft as-is, like in the case of the new terrain generation.
The gravel-like block could be coral, or maybe a new type of stone found on the sea floor.
Idk about that other block. Maybe something that repels water? Or a light source?
Also, does that water look purple, or am I just colorblind?
Well it does appear that the area does not have any water in it at all, so something must be repelling it. Possibly those blocks that look like the light sources?
The textures look good, as if from a texturepack.
I know it's real, but for some reason it reminds me of non-default textures.
I mean, I think Minecraft's default textures are good, but for some reason the textures seem a lot different from other textures.
Minecraft textures are not very consistent, items like carrots and potatoes are very detailed, but others like armor and tools are rather simple. This inconsistency is the main reason why I use a texture pack, because most texture packs are very consistent as all of the textures are made to fit a theme.
Looks like an underwater dungeon. I personally think the texture looks like it would fit in a resource pack, maybe that's just because of the lack of light. Looks like a form of underwater stone and coral for the blocks.
i would really love to see more freedom in a new under water world, eg. underwater caves, mobs, seaweed and many stuff like that. we don't want a scuba diving gear, instead we want an easier enchanting system (i was playing multiplayer and i reached lvl 30 enchantments about 10 times just to get infinity but i didn't get it) also we could upgrade a helmet with respiration 4 instead of using scuba diving. i would love to see machines that would use coal (not cars or planes) mybe a type of factory. it would be good if they added muskets since they already have gunpowder. a shield would also be very nice, if u put a shield with a sword in an enchanting table next to each other then you could block with right click and attack with left click. it would also be great if they added new mobs for every biome (eg. bigfoot for forest/yeti for snowy areas(it doesnt have to be them, it could be something similar)).

He says he's working on something *new* for Minecraft.
I see at least 2 new block types, and one of them gives off light.
...but that's just like, my opinion, man.

Woo!
Stay fluffy~
I know right, lol.
This will probably take like 6 months to release.... I hope everyone knows that so they won't rage about how long it takes

PixelQuest 2, my new 1.10 RPG/rougelike-inspired modpack, is coming soon!

(Assuming this is a dungeon.)
