playing the game it crashes and says java has run out of memory, there is no current fix it looks like, seems to be a huge problem for a lot of people have tired .bat files and using java and allocating more ram neither seems to actually affect the game when i try these fixes still only has the normal amount of RAM allocated. anyway its a java has run out of memory error i cant play longer then maybe 5 minutes and that's on a good run. This did not happen before 1.8.
Ruins the game : ( im sad i really love this game cant wait for a fix
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: just seems to memory leak until it crashes i used to be able to run this game amazingly until the patch if anyone has a fix other then the .bat file or the java run time edit fix let me know ill be sure to try it out.
I didn't see this bug specifically listed on the first post, so I want to report it here. It may be related to the bug that crashes the client when the sound and music sliders are moved.
Version of Minecraft: 1.8.1
SSP or SMP: SMP
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Intel i5-2400 3.1GHz, 8GB RAM (3.29 usable), GeForce GTS 450, Win 7
Can you repeat this bug: no
What issues does the bug Cause: client and computer freeze, loud buzzing noise, then complete computer crash :sad.gif: Edit: when I logged back in, my character had been deleted and respawned at my original spawnpoint.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: N/A, possibly related to sound (because of the buzzing noise)
I'm going to turn off sound until I find out more about this, and to test if it's related to having sound on.
Update: It isn't a sound-related problem. I have all sound and music off and it still freezes and crashes my system. Now I suspect java is having a problem.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: just seems to memory leak until it crashes i used to be able to run this game amazingly until the patch if anyone has a fix other then the .bat file or the java run time edit fix let me know ill be sure to try it out.
I too experience this bug and before 1.8, the game has NEVER crashed on me before. Although I wonder, do you use a texture pack? I switched texture packs and I crash less often.
I've been watching javaw.exe and the memory it uses. I've seen it use over 1 GIG which is just a huge fail on memory leak. I haven't noticed it crashing at a certain amount of memory so I do believe it is lying about the memory issue and it's crashing for some other reason.

Tested underground near surface, lit only by torches.
I don't know if these problems have been said, i don't really have much time today :/ So i'm sorry if they already have been stated. And i'm sorry if saying many problems is not ok cuz i don't want to wirte 5 times the same thing.

Can you repeat this bug: Yes (but random so not everything)
What issues does the bug Cause: You fall trough 1 block like if it was air (non-solid) when walking near a redstone reapeater (like when you just finish stepping on it). When you jump out of the ''hole'' it rebecomes solid.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: every time it happenned it was in a redstone circuit but reapeaters are most likely in circuits anyway.
2 :
Can you repeat this bug: Yes
What issues does the bug Cause: A problem in the lighting of reapeaters cause them to be dark, from dark to extreme dark, even though there is a torch near/far of them.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: All i saw were away from sunlight but i haven't tested in direct sunlight. Plus they were there from 1.7.3 (it would take ages to change hundreds and anyway it doesn't affect their abilities, though is becomes hard to see in which position the reapeater is).

What issues does the bug Cause: All chests from 1.7.3 appear black unless you manually re-update the lighting with torches.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable:
Thats basically it, they are minor but quite annoying, if someone could do something about them (those in charge of patches in minecraft) it would be really appreciated :smile.gif:
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Win Vista 64
Can you repeat this bug: Yup
What issues does the bug Cause: Flying toggle in Creative Mode unresponsive/unreliable. Using the double tap for jumping does not always start flying mode, and getting down from flying mode is almost impossible. I don't know if it's the horrible lag that is causing the delay, but this is completely unplayable in this state. Currently I'm stuck at the top of the sky, because double tapping jump doesn't turn flying off.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable:
1 - If you update, it might have fixed it .
2 - If you want to get down from there , run to the edge of the map .
Bug:
On death, if you have a lot of XP (enough to max out the XP bar and make it dissapear) the game may grind to a hold due too many sprites/particles.

What issues does the bug Cause:
If there are more orbs than the particle/sprite rendering can handle, it will grind your Minecraft client to a halt. This renders the game mostly unplayable until the items are forgotten by the game or picked up. The latter can take quite a while.
A quick check with debug listed 0 FPS. MC was able to update rendering every two seconds or so.
On a SMP server, anyone within rendering range of these 'gajillion xp orbs' will also suffer extreme FPS loss.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable:
No specific conditions. Simply do the following: In SMP (And SSP) kill a lot of enemies (takes a few hours or days?).
Then allow yourself to get killed. If the game doesn't grind to a choppy halt or just barely chugs on, you don't have enough XP orbs on you. Optionally, work with another player that also has a lot of XP, have them die so you can grab their orbs.
This bug is pretty annoying and has affected my server more than once. I'd hate to jump on the bandwagon with the whiners, and I understand the meaning of a Beta, but I see Posts of new features by Notch and Jeb and wonder if anyone is working on the bugs of 1.8 before adding more in 1.9. Especially the SMP bugs like this one and the redstone torch bugs. It seems like SMP is last on the list for fixes and features.
when i try to go through doors, it glitches out and keeps pushing me back like its lagging. but its not! its running fine, just another bug in minecraft. plz help fix this!

Basically, When you shift Click to make items either with the invent or crafting table, the statistics tab doesn't record that you have ever made the item. It only counts items that you manually make. So saving time making 20 shovels won't count on statistics.
Is it gamebreaking? NO Would be nice to see the statistic tab being accurate though.

What issues does the Bug Cause: Won't allow you to pick up arrows
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Has to be lava or fire
What happens is, when you shot an arrow threw lave or fire before 1.8.1 you could retrieve it and it was on fire. but now it isn't on fire and won't allow you to pick it up.
Bug: The ability to see through chunks and walls when you are at a certain angle. What angle is unknown, but there is multiple reports/screenshots of this.
So far the only bug I have notice is I just finished building my house and every time it rains, it is raining in my house so the blocks aren't keeping out the rain.
Thought you might like to know and fix it cuz its kinda annoying.

In my experience this only happens when OpenGL is turned on.
Solution: Disable OpenGL
In addition this 'glitch' has been around as long as the OpenGL option, though it seems to happen less often, for me at least.
I tried this. It made no difference, I still run out of memory every three minutes!
Thought you might like to know and fix it cuz its kinda annoying.
