This is a guide to make a high output farm for melons and pumkins,
You will need:
Iron or diamond Hoe
Buckets of water x6
Melon seeds x32
Pumkin seeds x32
wooden planks x9
Torches x36
This is how the farm should be layed out:
Top view:
It is 16x11.
When your farm is done you should have 32 melons and pumkins on each side.
Just pick the melons and pumkins and the stem will grow more but you have to re-farm the ground where the pumkin or melon grew.
That's a really good layout. Looks nice and seems easy to get your harvested goods.
I'm probably going to make a floating version of this(since I'm remaking my overpass city in 1.8), well, two. One for pumpkins and one for melons. Thanks for the idea! ~_^
