Ok, so I was building a bridge out of stone-brick, when I needed steps. I wanted everything to blend-in, so I used stone-brick stairs.
After destroying a few, I noticed that I was getting MOSSY stone-brick! After some messing around to find out why, I found that what direction the stairs were FACING would play a part into what type of stone-brick you get!
North, south, east, and west ALL give you different types!

Is there a place to report bugs? This is the first bug I have found in minecraft, and I would LOVE to help notch out!
I posted it!
RAD
use it to get the normally unbuildable types!

Thanks for the screens
I just looked on the minecraft wiki page for it..

I really doubt its a bug..
considering the old wise tale that moss always grows on the north side of the stone/trees.. no I doubt its a bug
