So, we all know about the new Enderman mob that can move blocks around. The problem is, it can clearly move player-placed blocks! As far as I know, they can move almost any block, even obsidian!Stupidity strikes! There is a video a few posts down showing what they actually can and can't pick up. This makes it incredibly difficult to endermen-proof your contraptions or buildings. For things like redstone creations and mob traps, one moved block can be disastrous.
This thread is for discussing possible ways to protect your creations without using mods.
Known ways to protect your house:
Flood everything...
Or just build a moat!
Fences, glass panes, and iron bars can't be moved.
Tile entities can't be moved, so your chests are safe! (Except from creepers...)
Also, one more question: Is it in fact true that endermen can move player-placed blocks, or can they only move blocks placed before 1.8?
I will add more information to this post as it is available. Thanks for any suggestions you have!

In response to a thread for a seed called "Tony Romo"
Instead of flooding your house, build a 2-3 block-wide moat, then use a piston drawbridge to get across.
I, personally, have an egg farm. Because of this, I have automated pistons with pressure plates that fire eggs and push them into the water. Be creative. You can make Endermen look like a joke if you just put some time into it. I promise. :wink.gif:
They can't move Obsidian, fences or glass planes. Currently I'm surrounding my village with glass planes. Might switch to a moat depending on the aesthetics.
Lava moat around my castle with retractable piston bridge does the trick nicely, kills endermen and any other stupid enough baddie to get within 5 blocks of my wall.
they cant move stairs either... maybe build your house out of stairs.... one side looks like a regular block, however, this does limit your house to brick, cobblestone, stone brick, and wood planks... you could just build a badass moat too. :biggrin.gif:

That's six words. *in front.
Ruined mah fun >:c
MAKE YOUR WALLS THREE BLOCKS THICK AND PUT WATER IN THE MIDDLE LAYER INSTEAD OF 1 SIMPLE LAYER.
Creepers AND endermen (mainly endermen) wont get in!.
