Smurfs? Epic idea, but also a legal minefield. And yes, I have grown, broken, and then replanted a whole forest with them already. And lived in them. :tongue.gif:
Aw boo.
I'm not sure but I don't think I'll be playing Creative. It just doesn't seem as rewarding as Survival.
Creative is fantastic for testing new builds. Mess around with spacial efficiency on there, and eventually you'll come up with designs that make sense.
Then again, I'm an avid redstone user for making intricate machines and hiddenrooms.
It's how I'm messing with Mushroom homes right now. No point in me getting tied to a survival server when I'm just going to make a new save when 1.8 offically releases.
The brown mushrooms are useful for building in it's current state, I have 6 mushrooms on top of eachother with ladders on the stern and they make excellent farms
im making a village completely out of giant mushrooms vines and as few wood planks as i can. its not gonna be huge cuz im probably not gonna have this world once the actual release comes out but i can post screen shots when im done. the hardest thing is creepers and enderman... the mushroom blocks can be replaced because theres no way to get placeable mushroom blocks. but other than that its going really well. have like 7 or 8 houses so far.
(m using mushrooms for like everything and just wood planks to fill in the holes and places where creepers and enderman destroyed things, the vines are for effect)
I just tested if the Giant mushrooms are fire/lava proof.
Yes they are, they don't burn :smile.gif: (I poured lava all over my self made mushroom forest, nothing lol)
Red mushroom house at ground level wouldn't let me sleep in it. Plenty of light inside and out, a door. No way to get in. But when I sleep I get a zombles. Is this a known thing? Or am I doing something wrong?

Is the bed next to a wall on any side or corner? That could be it.

I was in the middle of making a mushroom village on 1.8 survival today and it dawned on me while picking up leftover zombie bits from the night before. They really need to introduce rotted flesh as the catalyst for growing mushrooms over bone meal which works on everything else.
Also with swamp biomes being so easy to come across and having so many mushrooms growing already, is mushroom farming now pointless? Before you never could find the things, now you can't walk without stepping on a few.

I've never needed graph paper before till this very moment in Minecraft. Glass Dome Project
I've found a chart for the damage values for mushrooms:
Every side not noted is pores, every side noted is the actual face. For example, :1 would result in the mushroom face on the Top, North, and East, and the pores on every other face.

Oddly enough though, when placing them, they revert to pores.
mushroom biomes are in 1.9. to get giant ones now you have to use bone meal on them while they are on dirt and grass.
