Ok i have been doing studies all day and my conclusion is this
If you spawn on a island in the ocean and there is only cows on the island only cows can spawn there there must be 1 cow in order for other cows to spawn this works the same with every other passive mob so leave at least one or two of the same animal when slaughtering for meat if you have already done so just farm wheat and melons then. :biggrin.gif: hope this helps
Hello. Auer I have checked out the plains biome (where I live) and have noticed that sheep make up 75% of the population in my traps. I have also started a chicken farm (only one chicken so far) in a large spacious pit in front of my house. Hoping to get that kicked off to help my arrow production. It seems like my biome has become depleted of animals (no doubt my fault). Is there any ways to attract animals in neighboring biomes to my biome?
I wonder what is going on with sheep. I seem to be getting pretty large amounts of them too.
Perhaps we should do biome-based studies on sheep to see if they are common everywhere?
